I don't understand how damage works o.o'

so.. i have this question for years playing this game actually...

if someone has for example 358 attack damage ... shouldn't his auto attacks deal 358 (when enemy has 0 armor.. etc..) rather 800+?

That is a very good question.

yeah that would be the case unless it was a crit with item 3031 it would be at 895 without armor or any other effects

Non-Crit, non- modified auto attacks will do 358 damage to a 0 armor target if the attackers AD is 358. Where did you get 800+ from? Your math is wrong somewhere...

Looks like an item 3031 -empowered crit strike.

what? if you see a normal adc , zed , or whatever .. with 358 they can 3-4 shot you

What dont you understand?

Yea, because of crit and modifiers...

And Zed is an Assassin so he's using abilities also, its not his AA you have to worry about (too much). Of course his passive does apply a modifier to his AA...

Depends on if it's an empowered attack or not. An example would be Nasus Q, or a sheen empowered auto.

im talking about auto attacks without any buffs/enhances

Did you have a debuff? Were you previously bubbled by a Zoe? More context would greatly help in figuring out what exactly happened.

Meanwhile when armor pen was flat from runes and I'd have enough to put someone at 0 armor I'd do less than stated, vs champions that had 0 damage reduction talents or masteries. ?!?!!
