A simply solution to simmer down Yasuo's laning power.

Currently Yasuo players max out e first since maxing Q gives very minimal benefits in comparison.

Sweeping Blade [E] RANGE: 475 STATIC COOLDOWN: 0.5 / 0.4 / 0.3 / 0.2 / 0.1 ON-TARGET COOLDOWN: 10 / 9 / 8 / 7 / 6 MAGIC DAMAGE: 70 / 90 / 110 / 130 / 150 」 (+ 60% AP) 「 BONUS DAMAGE: 17.5 / 22.5 / 27.5 / 32.5 / 37.5 」 Each cast increases the next dash's base damage by 25% for 5 seconds, up to 50% bonus damage.

Steel Tempest PHYSICAL DAMAGE: 20 / 40 / 60 / 80 / 100 (+ 100% AD) CD: 4 Seconds The cooldown and cast time of Steel Tempest is reduced by 「 1% for every 1.6725% bonus attack speed 」, down to a maximum 66% reduction.

Only thing maxing Q does for a Yasuo is give him 20 extra base damage when E gives mobility, reduced cast time, CD and increased damage and not to mention +20 base magic damage per rank. Especially for champions who build armour, the amount of magic damage his E does is just oppressive for itemizing against since it deals a significant amount of damage.

So I reckon the best way to fix this issue is to force Yasuo between maxing E or Q and not just leaving E as the only viable option while still making Q offer so much damage, utility ( 8 second cd knock up basically) without having to be maxed. I mean I am genuinely surprised more people don't just max E then W and leave Q for last since it's just +80 max damage at max rank while W reduces CD and increase the size of it.

So I propose removing his Q's attack speed CDR scaling and make his Q scale off per point in the ability instead and cool down reduction. This will make him sacrifice some early game power (less knock ups and zoning potential in laning phase), and if he chooses to max Q first he will have to sacrifice his magic damage and mobility for a lower Q CD. Currently with AS Quints, Phantom Dancer and Berserker Greaves he reaches 56% Q CDR ( according to my calculations) and that's not even adding his base AS scaling per level. Resource less champions are supposed to struggle to get CDR and the fact that his Q already has a low CD (4) and gets reduced by up to 66% reduction building a stat he naturally gets, and builds simply makes him too strong especially since attack speed benefits crits by being able to attack more often.

I can understand what you are doing, but Yasuo's max E due t it's base dmg and we don't max q since it is used more for the 3rd Q. You don't need to build CDR since he has low cooldowns anyway.

None of these options are good.

He's balanced the way he is. If you suck at the game and are placed against a good Yasuo, his skill cap mastery will shine and he will beat you.

Precisely, his E all around offers so much from being maxed while his Q offers only +20 Dmg. So it's simply a matter of shifting power from his E to his Q or just making his Q less powerful when not maxed.

Q max is still viable. Mostly done against melee matchups but not all the time. It's not uncommon to max q first. Yasuo's early game is already bad. There's no need for change.

Q Max is alot worse than E in all situations and no his early game is not weak.

It's not worse in all situations. Top lane yasuo maxing q is not uncommon since it's poke with with little retaliation. You don't want to e into someone like trundle or irelia or riven. And yes his early game is bad. He loses almost all matchups in the top lane early and in mid he is a melee vs ranged and the ranged characters can just walk away from the minions and he has no way to disengage. He is also very susceptible to ganks.

Shitty poll tbh. People that suggest removing his 2x crit are asking for tanksuo, and tanksuo is nothing good. Otherwise I do think this post seems logical.
