This is the meta of the game right now. This includes AP "Supports" like Malzahar, Zyra, Brand and even Xerath to an extent.
I don't mind diversity in the support line up, but when supports like these can push all other supports out of the meta (barring Lulu and Janna) and especially punishing melee supports for being melee, this is considered unhealthy imo.

are pretty shit supports because they need to build mana or AP to actually do damage. Some of them,even with cc, can't even peel very good.

They do not push all other champs out of the meta. Also, the hook champions are still plenty viable.
