Shaco will never get reworked, buffed or nerfed.

The feeling i get is that riot has not touched this champion for a long time, never will and are afraid to do so. Shaco's kit is very unique as we all know. Speaking on behalf of most the shaco mains, we are all afraid of a rework. It might totally ruin this champ. Back in 2013, they planned to do so but did not reach a conclusion. If he did get buffed, he would probably get nerfed after because he is a hard champion to balance. One thing i am pleased of is the back stab indicator riot is planning on adding in patch 6.12. This is the type of "buffs" they should do to champions like shaco. It does not improve shaco's stats but can improve his gameplay. one thing i would like to know is if they are planning on touching him in the assassin update.

Yeah he hasn't been touched in a while. btw those kinds of buffs are called qol or quality of life buffs/changes because they don't actually buff the champion per say but rather make it more clear what you should do when playing them.

seriously, no rework ends in success.

Reworking shaco will just lead to his current player base abandoning him and nobody else picking him up

The Assassin's update is going to bring a LOT of salt to the table...especially if Katarina gets debuffed. Her kit is absurdly OP, and with penetration for Melee and Magic...it's extremely hard to counter her. item 3135 item 3036 item 3089 item 3100 item 3143 item 3078 Went up against this build recently...and she was hard as hell to counter, as well as defeat.

An unorthodox build...but for Katarina's abilities mainly being around magic...the penetration is enough to make you squirm.

Anyway, the only touch-up I would like to see to shaco would be his boxes. They remain for far too long...and if anything, they should disappear when he's killed. Same for Teemo's mushrooms. As well as a few other champions "traps and surprises".

That would nerf him and he is already struggling in this meta. This tank meta dramatically changed his build style, forcing him into building bruiser for survival, therefore the boxes do almost no damage . They are so useless late game the only thing they do is fear. Besides almost no one goes ap shaco nowadays and if they do, they build would build burst for the shiv

Everyone plays AP Shaco in the rotating game modes. He and Teemo are permabanned...

true i don't deny that. But why nerf a champion due to rotating game modes, it's not like they matter. In urf for example you can just spam oracle and boxes are usless

Actually, you're quite wrong. I play full crit Shaco in URF and do just fine. It's just most people think that AP Shaco is the only way to play him, so they don't try anything else.

Oh I have to agree...but those boxes fearing could result ultimately in the loss of a team fight. I'm sure that has happened at one point in time to ya. Personally, shaco with shiv is redundant unless he's incorporating Nashor into that build for the AS and AP boost. Tank/Bruiser shaco's are kinda easy to shut down with a slow, cause lets face it...assassin's are generally squishy since most go AD or hybrid.
