I could be wrong but I remember seeing somewhere that Riot saying that they wanted to fix Darius pull because they don't want a champs reliability tied to a busted mechanic such as Darius pulling you even after you left the area of his pull. So can we do something about Riven's auto canceling? Maybe give her the Kalista treatment in which she can't cancel autos but increase her attack speed base or growth or increase the speed of her attack animation.

They've since endorsed the mechanic, making is cleaner and easier for less proficient players, and have balanced her power budget around having said mechanic. Removing it would gut her, even in her current state (which I personally have no issue with).

's auto canceling is intentional, I think, whereas Apprehend was just bugged, but I agree that it should likely be removed. Right now, its main problem is that it makes Riven more difficult to master, but without really requiring interaction with an opponent, so the end result is a champion who's probably too strong in certain respects but hides it behind artificial barriers. I'd rather have a Riven who couldn't cancel her animations, but who'd also be balanced around that, than a Riven who's not too good in the hands or most players but able to seriously reduce counterplay from her opponents at higher levels of play.
