Matchmaking is missing key elements to be accurate

Hey guys,

The more i play ranked games, the more i see something that matchmaking does not take into consideration when matching players: the champions selected by each players.

Because even if you match players of the same MMR, if one team select only champs they are familiar with, and other team do not, then this has a huge impact on balance and most of the time the players that are unfamiliar with champs they play in rank end by feeding enemy team and be the doom for all their team.

That's why now each time i start a ranked game i ask my team mates to select champions they are familiar with, and even check on stats websites that they are indeed doing so. If they're not, i queue dodge.

Doing this has drasticly increased my win rate. I changed league in almost a day.

I think the matchmaking should take the selected champs into account for this reason, otherwise it's just not fair.

What do you think about it guys?

It would be great but they're stuck on thinking their current system is perfect when it still matches bronze/unranked against golds/plats.
