Ahri

Edit: I get that it'd be justified if the Ahri was just simply fed and carried the game off of it but it's the fact that Ahri is just overpowered at her current state AND was doing such things late game where everyone was full build.

Now don't get me wrong, I'm not part of the Ahri circle jerk that just recently sprung up. That said, I always have hated Ahri (alongside with Lux, trynd, etc but this isn't the topic) and I just played a game that confirmed that Ahri is not balanced.

First off let's start off with what Ahri has objectively

Passive - A passive that gives Ahri sustain after she fires off x amount of abilities. Q - A skillshot that fires out and comes back to Ahri. It has true damage on the return and gives Ahri a burst of move speed. W - Three balls that rotate around Ahri that acts as a homing missile to a nearby target(s). E - A linear skillshot that fires out and Charms (taunts) an enemy. R - 3 Dashes the length of flash that is able to casted back to back.

Now let's focus on some key factors in her kit which makes me say Ahri is busted.

Passive - Sustain Q - True Damage - Movement speed W - Homing missile//"not interactive" E - CC/Taunt R - Three dashes the length of flash. Able to be casted back to back. (Think of 3 back to back flashes)

Now you may say, "Well she's a jack of all trades, what's wrong with that?"

What's wrong with this is that all of these abilities do insane amounts of damage, half give insane mobility, one gives CC that many champions are based and built around, and she has sustain in her passive to let her survive or even destroy the laning phase. To top all of this off, these abilities come in fairly low cooldowns with low mana costs and late game she is able to flat out spam it.

Now there IS a reason as to why I made this post just now. It is because I played a game where we faced an Ahri. I was going Yasuo top (hurr durr annoying op champion) and had a TF mid. Now I may have been able to carry this game if it were not for a 1/7 TF @15 minutes but I'm going to get to the point. I was fine with having to face the Ahri and even managed to snag a kill by triple teaming her but lategame there was nothing that could stand her way. Here are some numbers that came at me stemming from the Devil herself - Ahri.

Her Q did roughly 400 damage on the return (I didn't see her initial Q damage but it has to be high)
Her W did roughly 600 damage
Her E did roughly 600 damage
And I did not see her Ult damage.

She bursted me down 100 - 0 dealing 2600 damage within .78 seconds with one rotation of her spells. (okay, to be fair 400 dmg did come from the opposing orianna)

ANYWAYS I'M SLEEPING NOW CUS I'M TIRED BUT I'LL COME BACK TO THIS THREAD IF I FORGOT TO VOICE SOME STUFF. GOOD NIGHT THANKS FOR READING.

Well your concerns are well and good, but there are some details from your story that factor into Ahri's damage that game.

Your TF was 1/7, that means that Ahri was at least 7 kills up. So she would be super fed. Super fed champions have a level advantage and deal tons of damage to underleveled champs. Add this to her single target damage and it's no wonder you got murdered.

Also, TF is not very good at winning lane. I can easily see Ahri bullying him all laning phase, hence it partially led to her getting fed.

Yes but it was late game where this Ahri just demolished teamfights and we were all full build. (She didn't just kill me, she killed the majority and left ~2 for her team)

TF falls off compared to Ahri for teamfights, they had a support Orianna for crying out loud that built AP. Your bot lane was thoroughly why you got any chance to stay in the game considering your Zac was not building full tank. Lulu also falls off and has to rely on the ADC. That Ahri built literally no Zhonya's so if your team went to go focus her down, she was 100% dead. Their Twitch did more than enough damage paired with the Ahri.

One bad case doesn't determine all cases for Ahri. If it were a Fizz as your mid lane and she kept the same build, it would not have been so peachy for her.

Orianna had no impact, TF actually scales very well although Ahri (being oppressive in early game and late) does scale more. Anyways this is besides the point. This is just the reason I got around to posting this thread. In reality Ahri IS OP due to being a jack of all trades and master of all.

Give me Fizz right now and I will eat most Ahri mains for breakfast despite me not playing him for 2 seasons. She has 2 skillshots you can dodge and all I see in this elo are either Ahri's who can't hit anything and otherwise would 100-0 her target or people that cannot dodge Ahri skillshots. I can't tell what's worse but I know for a fact she has a huge window of time on her burst and a great amount of counterplay.

I mentioned that the Orianna was support exactly because your bot lane was the only reason you were kept in the game. You and your mid laner were liabilities. TF should've been playing passive and looking to roam at 6 unless he got some really good jg ganks. You were fighting a hard counter with probably not a high knowledge of how to deal with it, expected of a Silver player (even I've had to improve on how to handle hard matchups).

P.S. Build item 3156 and not Visage on a Yasuo, it keeps your AD high while keeping MR and protects you specifically from burst.

Depends on the situation. Besides she is not mobile, long ranged, or has very useful individualistic abilities.

You could just say you think she's too safe for the amount of damage she dealt.

You could've completely ignored adding the part where you were like, "Well I picked an objectively bad champion and my midlaner who is in fact countered by her fed and she, as part assassin part mage, did a lot of damage in a short period of time."

And for fuck's sake just address what you think is wrong with her kit rather than stating the things she has. "I think she has too many options in her kit for all scenarios" works a lot better than, "Let's count everything in her kit."

And I would agree, I do think she's too strong right now. However, the post you just made is raving lunacy and more than anything else seems to affirm that a fed champion is doing what fed champions do.

Yasuo Isn't objectively bad but I'm not going to argue about that. I would want to keep it that simple but it'd be stupid to have to respond to all Ahri mains or circle jerk busters. The description of the abilities in her kit are for people who don't know specific parts of her kit and to make it easier to analyze her kit. I should have included the part where the game was finished at the late game where everyone had full builds?
