Although FotF has some advantages (FotF + Smite for instant camp farm), it also presents some inconveniences

  1. Cause Ivern cant damage camp (not even by mistakes with passives of item 3285 or item 3068 ). unless is summoner 11 . its impossible to prevent a camp from being stolen.

  2. On the same page, as he cant damage camps. Ivern gets a severe lack of health compared to other Junglers as Passive of item 1039 or Life Steal from item 1041item 3706item 3711item 3715 dont apply when you Freeing camps, in which case your only resource to recover health without Recalling is item 2032 or Smiting Red. so after Setting up 3 camps. you are incredible vulnerable to get counter Jungled. 2.2) Junglers use the non aggressive nature of the Rift Scuttler and life steal as a way to heal themselves without taking Damage. but FotF stills cause you to loose HP when casting a Grove on Scuttler

  3. Setting up a Grove dont means the Camp cant be stolen, but whether you are able to Free em or not. you still have to pay the Health and Mana cost.

IMO a way to given Ivern a better chance against counter Jungling could be 2 options. Either Freeing a camp interacts with Life Steal to recover a % of health. or setting up a grove is free, you pay the costs of the passive when you Free the camp

also Please, make that setting up a Grove on on Scuttler only consumes Mana no Health

It seems that getting health regen runes for him would work wonders. He doesn't need the armor of your typical jungle rune page since he doesn't fight the camps.

The whole point is he's vulnerable to invades himself, but is amazing at it if the enemy jungler isn't there. Also, his style of jungling means you can go completely different runes/masteries/items than most others would.

The lifesteal interaction with free camps is interesting, but I read your post looking for new ways to deal with invasions, not just excuses for buffs.

Best ways to deal with invaders:

  1. Ward

  2. counter jungler

  3. Special: You can stop an invade by a, marking the camp if they are dumb enough to not try to stop you, or if it is already marked just click on it as they try to steal. Also, a key note here, jungle camps don't attack YOU! If the enemy is fighting you by a camp, if you can trick them into hitting it with aoe or skill shot, or if they are trying to steal it and you see them, attack them. Like a controlled minion wave, the jungle will help you and never hurt you, while you are running combat runes and they running jungle runes. If you start red you have full hp and already level 2, if you started anywhere else, you can decide accordingly.
