Free Trinket Upgrades Haven't Helped

Just sayin'. It would be surprising if 2 people out of the other 9 upgrade their trinkets during a match. The alterations are actually pretty cool.

Because there is no upgrade for yellow trinket...

You either sweep or yellow. Blue is for when you're ahead.

I actually like the change to blue. It's on a relatively short CD, the ward doesn't disappear and there's no limit to the number you can have placed on the map at one time.

It feels stronger than the yellow once you get used to unlocking your camera and placing them in a grass somewhere everytime they're up.

Again, it's only strong when you're ahead.

They're visible, they fragile, and if you can't keep them up because your team is behind and have no map pressure, then all you're doing is giving free gold rather than the more valuable information gained from a stealth ward.

A ward isn't just for keeping you safe. They can also help your team mobilize onto an enemy, and you don't want the enemy to know you know what they're up to.

That's fine. I disagree. I think the lack of a ward cap and the increased range far outweighs the yellow later on ... even when you're down. If everyone is throwing down blue wards, the map will light up in a hurry. Unfortunately, people don't upgrade.

Same with the red upgrade. You can't target it, but the radius is far larger and you can cover more ground with it.

The red is a no brainer. There is literally no drawback.

That is the one thing I disliked about this patch.

I loved upgrading my yellow trinket to greater yellow trinket, it was a mini sightstone at level 9 for only 250 gold.... their nerfs to that sucked.
