TL;DR - Healthy Q and E nerfs coupled with new, additional passive that makes crit and bonus AD builds more worth your while than mid game, ==>

Season 8 has been weird so far for me, but it has made GP feel way more consistent.

Too consistent.

In fact, I get solo kills early on and bully my lane under tower, where I then kill them anyways.

I'm not sure if that's due to the global MMR reset meaning I'm cackling to myself as I suplex some poor teenager through their monitor or what but GP is too darn strong right now [at least for someone competent with him.]

He's gonna get nerfed eventually. He was OK - Good pre season 8 but with the new runes (Klepto of course) he is fearsome. Even post Klepto nerf, he's too strong. However, he was nerfed a metric tonne before, so I don't see where they could nerf him that isn't cruel and unusual after this. He's been nerfed quite literally everywhere, I believe, so are they going to destroy him or Klepto?

Personally I think the best thing would be to encourage a more expensive build path

If he is going to be making a huge amount of gold and you don't want to destroy him, maybe make his Q and E less powerful initially but get a notable bonus if they crit and have bonus AD as opposed to base That way, more expensive builds serve him well but he needs to ramp up into it before he is the beast man that he is. And you couldn't just build an Infinity Edge hoping for that massive crit but would want around 70% crit for consistency or more.

Let me know what you think. A **New passive in addition to Trial by Fire would be nice that somehow encourages crit builds (Maybe crits do 150% damage plus an additional 1-18 percent x 2 based on level) (this would be with nerfs to Q and E to compensate) **
