Since there is so much QQ on Yauso...

I want to ask you... what do YOU think would be a better shift of his power if you had to give and take?

You can't just flat-out ask for a broad nerf like removing his double crit, you have to give and take and there is no give in demanding something like removal of his double crit and giving him nothing worth in compensating. Yes, Yasuo can be very annoying, but he can't win versus every champion in every situation, he is an assassin meant to kill squishies and snowball, and despite exaggerated rumors... even the most skilled Yasuo player can't 1v1 every situation.

So please, in your infinite wisdom, tell me: what would you do?

Remove him from the game.

Honestly they should have done it before the preseason hit.

Nah, flat nerfs are good

that's not entirely true though. riot takes and takes from plenty champs. it's not always give and take.

Yeah, let's totally ignore the fact that the new items and masteries were HUGE buffs to him.

I did say "broad" nerf, and if we whittle down Yasuo's strength with small nerfs over time should the buffs be too much, then that is fine without need for compensation because it's done for balance. Smacking him with any sort of massive nerf is likely to reduce too much power, then require other buffs that will inevitably create a see-saw of buffs and nerfs.

Yas NEEDS his power reduced. He was too strong BEFORE the new pre-season changes. His kit allows for quite a bit of counterplay. Whenever you have a champ with high counterplay, you pretty much have to have him a bit on the weak side for him to be balanced.

The thing you don't realize... is yasuo is hitting his power spike at 3300 gold... not even irelia or vladimir hits it this quickly... no champ i nthe game does this not even other assassins.. thats STUPID that's reallly really stupid man. They should make crit work like it works on ashe. Its a reduced crit

I am of the opinion that Yasuo does need nerfs as a result of the changes, but it depends on what kind of nerfs? What do you propose, maybe reducing the amount of critical damage he does by 5 to 10% in return for how quickly he gets full crit? Reduce his health pool and/or regen considering that Warlord's Bloodlust is likely to be his go-to Keystone Mastery? Champion balance usually revolves around trying to return champions to an appropriate baseline strength, nerfs to Yasuo at this stage would likely be to push him closer to his strength prior to the marksman update.

They would want to keep him relevant - which he would likely stay anyways because of the marksman meta - but at the same time he would be less oppressive against champions he isn't meant to completely shut down.

remove wind wall, make his w either the HASAGI tornado or a shield. remove his second crit passive and nerf his ult pen. now gtfo the forums yasuo mains, i am disgusted

CrazedPorcupine1 votes

Here's what I would do

Remove Windwall. Turn his W into his shield passive. Change it so that he can activate it at any time, but it's strength is based off of his Flow bar.

Nerf his double crit and change it to only a 50% gain.

That's all he needs.

Juicyman1 votes

W requires flow.

Increase flow gain from other sources.

Played a game vs one. Didnt think much. Didnt feel like much of a difference.

Crits with melee champions do not heal for 15% crit damage. Simple as that. The heal is only for ranged champs since they are all made with kits that don't stop most if not all incoming sources of damage (yasuo's windwall/ passive and trynd's ult)

Funny how most of ppl are proposing nerfs only while you specifically wrote a power shift.

Change his shield to the value of 50-500 from its current state of 100-510. He can now sustain fairly easily, so he needs to be made more susceptible to poke to compensate.

It wouldn't hurt to reduce his base health too. These changes alone should shift quite a bit of power.

Craft Zeppelin1 votes

He is stupidly overloaded, had stupid sustain with his shield and manaless energy and now youre giving hin free hp regen eh?

MAN, you need to be so BAD not to win with these free goodies rito gave you that makes you the perfect "resourceless" champ.
