It might be unpopular in many players perspectives about balancing around pro play but...

When you think about it, it kind of makes sense. Would you rather they balanced champions around bronze matches where players don't understand how to mechanically use a champion, or balance a champion around pro play, where the champion is being used to it's full potential.

If the champion was balanced around normal play and low level play, then the champion would most likely be looked as if it is underpowered due to the lack of mechanical knowledge, and it would be overbuffed.

If the champion was balanced around pro play where the maximum potential is being utilized of the champions, then it overall creates a more balanced game for all of the players, not just low tier.

The reason being many people complain about this stuff is because the player's using them just don't understand the champions mechanics.

This kind of balancing creates a massive learning curve for lower elo players. I do understand the pro changes 100% (Ryze ult changes, Sejuani nerf, etc.), but its more about the severity of the changes.

I agree, but I also disagree, I don't really think it's much of a massive learning curve, and if you're playing ranked with a champion you aren't mechanically sound with, then you most likely deserve that lower elo because you aren't exactly doing anyone a favor.

I guess the issue is that there will always be an argument, whether a company should cater to the unskilled playerbase, or the skilled players, but if the unskilled players were catered to, the skilled player's game's would become a clown fest of nukes.

Good point.

I think they need to split the server into bronze and silver gold and plat diamond with challenger. this way noobs play together average together and pros together XD just a thought. So noobs will be forever noobs and pros smash each other XDDDD

I would rather they balance around Gold-Diamond, it has a large portion of the player base, and they have a decent understanding of how to play the game. Also pro play balance is a lot different because of how much more coordinated the teams are, solo queue is a toss up as far as coordination goes.

Gold and Plat are so far from high Diamond it's a world of difference. I wouldn't even say it's a decent understanding since you can get all the way up to Diamond 5 by only abusing raw mechanics on a mechanic-heavy champion.

I think people are more worried about high elo soloQ (d2~challenger) and the fact that it's often ignored.

Ok sure but why1 votes

Yet they leave toxic pieces of shit like Illaoi to stomp Bronze matches
