The problem with that is he needs to deal damage to actually fill the bar, meaning he has to be in harms way. One stun and your shield wont save you

Irelia Bot1 votesIf you are saing why does Irelai have this much base halth and others do not, it was not always that high but that it was buffed after they nerfed Hiten styles passive on hit healing halved when not active.
It was compensation for the passive healing going from a passive 10/14/18/22/26 to 5/7/9/11/13 (active healing is still the same) and ult Cooldown going from 60/50/40 to 70/60/50 after which she was under preforming.
This was back in I believe season 2.

You also have to spend HP to get that shield
