Hextech ProtoBelt

When I first heard about this nifty belt, I was happy that maybe the immobile mages would have a useful item to assist there positioning. To bad its just a burst item built for its damage, due to its garbage dash range

its dash range is just fine that useing for damage is far better because of based ap scaleing

The dash range is fine. I use it as a tool to juke out Ahri charms, Shen taunts, etc.

After those are out of the way, I go full ham on them.

So you were hoping it will remove only weakness that mages have?

the dash range isn't garbage tho.. funny part is that its better on mobile champs than it is immobile though. For immobile i'd go with the other 2 hextech items unless your champ just REALLY likes repositioning.

I agree the dash range is pretty bad. I would gladly give up some of the burst for more range.

to be honest, I only build Protobelt if I also have Rylais. The slow and mini dash is what sells it for me.

Sure its a burst combo piece, but it's still cool

to be fair, it also is used as raw escape by times. Just 'outplaying', which was the intention, does not happen with it, and it are rarely the immobile mages that use it.

They should just junge the fiere balls into a fire nova that hits everyone around you once, so you don't have the absurd point blank burst and can actually deal damage to opponents while dashing out of skillshots or positioning your self for a skillshot. Or just remove the damage al together and buff it's stats. But if you **don'**t use the damage otential of the current active, it's effective combat power is just so low that it's hardly worth buying.
