Azir QoL Request- Please remove the announcement when Azir's tower dies

Whenever one of Azir's temporary towers dies, it gives the announcement that "your/enemy tower has been destroyed". While not having a huge impact of the overall game, it does cause moments of confusion as you are suddenly looking for which lane has minions pushing , who is splitting, etc. It would be far less confusing and irritating if that announcement was removed or it a unique announcement was made for the sundisk. Maybe a global audio clip referencing Shurima's fall or return. As long as it isnt the generic tower message.

We do want to do this, but didn't have the time to dig into the announcement system for this patch (announcements are hard coded; we'll need to change this code to know the difference between a regular tower and an Azir tower. We'll get to it eventually!)

buuuuuump. just make it "The Sun Disk has fallen" or "Your Team has destroyed a Sun Disk" or just nothing. nobody makes an announcement for each of heimer's turrets.

I actually have to agree with you because (while it is considered like a turret) it does cause some bit of confusion when you hear it and I often find myself looking around and remembering that I just look up and see the logo Icon for the passive ability of his. The confusion part would have a lot of effect on players but this does get you looking at your mini map. I can agree that maybe a different kind of voice announcement for it would be good to cause less confusion.

Also lets fix all his bugs too please, I like his kit and he's super fun to play and when you kill someone you get the feeling of actually (kinda) out playing with the manipulation of puppets. My only issue is the W summon to Q position and not being able to hit E to move to them till 2-3 seconds after they are situated.

I'd love it if it could be programmed to say something different, so you still know when your tower dies: something like "A Shuriman Relic has Fallen."

the only change i want from Azir, aside from bug fixes, is to not have my soldiers spawn at the edge of my cursor, but have him walk in range of it, then spawn the soldier

I would also probably replace it with a unique line from Azir heard globally. Or nah, perhaps Azir should just make his comment if he's near the tower and you're near him.

is it me or does the tower takes a very long time to ascend. When im low, my dying wish is to q behind the enemy, e them and then ult them back into my turret which still isnt working and when its finally ready the enemy is gone. Also, there is a bug where the turret would be locked on to the enemy forever until it attacks someone else.

It also allows the enemy team to get a countdown timer on when Azir has/can use his ult.

I agree with this change and I'd also think that his soldiers should get health and be targetable. Most other champions with their own minions have that feature and it makes him a little overpowered. I just think it inspire better tactics to be used with placement and use of the soldiers.

But after the announcement it shows that it was your coin tower that fell, and to lighten up on confusion the tower only lasts a minute if someone doesn't want a free 100g.

I agree with the original message. I've had my whole team (on Curse) go into panic mode because our tower fell. Something along the lines of "Your Sun Disk Has Fallen" or "Your team has destroyed a sun disk" would go a long way towards clearing up any momentary confusion.

One QoL I think we need, for Azirs opponents more, have his towers appear on the minimap, maybe not the second he puts on up but defently once you catch sight of it.

Firstly I'd like to say I agree OP, it makes it look like the lane i'm in is constantly failing because it always looks like i'm losing something important top lane lol... secondly since this Azir thread is actually keeping top of the list I'd like to go ahead and list some bugs with azir in case this thread gets some attention.

  1. Sometimes Azir will attack an enemy in range of his soldier or vice versa
  2. Sometimes Soldiers will not attack enemies in both azir's command range and their own
  3. Sometimes Soldiers will fail to hit targets they have completed an attack animation for (I don't understand this one)
  4. Sometimes Soldiers WILL NOT RESPOND TO command Q this is vital, it loses kills, it fails escapes and it misses cs (Seems to happen most often if you tell them to charge right after summoning them, if you do it to fast they seem to be dead to that command, just speculation)
  5. Many Champions seem to be able to pass through the wall that shouldn't, while others can't pass through that probably should I.E. Riven/fizz/tristana seem to regularly pass through the wall, esp riven i think because the units are displaced slightly when they rebound a champion, so sometimes enemies get caught between the soldiers and basically drive a wedge inbetween them pingponging until the wall is made useless. Also why does it rebound zeds shadow? Also why doesn't it push vlad in pool mode (because unit ignore?) That doesn't make sense because fizz/janna/kassadin can't walk through. 6.) Azir's soldiers attack uncontrollably when azir is in a warded brush 7.) Azir will summon tower bomb soldiers if you click anywhere within about 200units of a tower 8.) Added onto the wall problems, just the act of the wall pushing an opponent backwards can cause ANY champ to pingpong enough to pass through the wall, and any champion with a hook will also fail more that half the time to be successfully rebounded away (often resulting in a broken wall as well) 9.) Azir's turrets do not increase in damage as normal

Also, when I say the wall is broken, I mean the rebounding of a champion has scattered the soldiers in a formation such as

--- _ ¯¯-- -- with dashes being soldier position, each vertical gap easily clearing or even projecting enemies through the cracks (I've had threshes get launched toward myself and my carry in a support role, this does not help anything)

Remove it for everyone but Azir (and of course make it not so generi so even he understands)

The tower last a min. No time at all. Your either there and see it, or not there and dont care. The whole map doesnt need a notification about such an insignificant event

There is no need for any announcement at all. Since when do you use them for instances when a skill effect ends. Do we get an announcement that Trynd's ulti has ended? Or Poppy's? That makes no sense to me.
