Nautilus changes to his W is the best direction for him, but may not be enough.
Hello all, I have been a Nautilus jungle main since season 2 until the nerfs to Nautilus because of his dominance in the Support/Top role and competitive scene hit his clear speed so hard that he is basically a troll pick in the jungle now. The direction of these PVE buffs:
>Nautilus: >Goal: Give Nautilus' shield some more flexibility; aiming to bring the effect into more usable trade windows and additional casts per jungle camp. Titan's Wrath (W)
>Shielding :: 65/70/75/80/85 (+9/11/13/15/17% maxHP) >>> 60/70/80/90/100 (+9/10/11/12/13% maxHP) Duration :: 10 >>> 6 Cooldown :: 18 >>> 12 Cost :: 80 >>> 60
are the way to go since it focuses on his shield rather than his currently abusable and spammable E that brought him so many nerfs since patch 5.15V. I do not think that these buff will be enough to help Nautilus be relevant in the jungle unfortunately. The best thing to do now is wait to see how they affect Nautilus for 1-2 patches and then consider doing more sweeping changes that take away power from his E and transfer it to his W. Nautilus Right now cannot really duel any of the junglers which would not be an issue if fighting for scuttle wasn't so important. If riot focused more power into Nautilus's W, and took away a large portion of damage from E, while giving it a little more CC it would overall make him healthier and easier champion to balance. Nautilus is not a hard champion to play. His kit is not complicated besides a few small nuances, which makes it so when he is strong in support or top that he is REALLY strong in those roles due to how easy he can be to play. Nautilus should be shifted more for the jungle since he is a champion that should shine with macro and roaming due to his strong hook.
tl;dr: move power from Nautilus's E to his W so that he can clear faster and not has as much burst if current buffs aren't good enough.
