Is there a way to tell if I'm at risk for being banned/restricted?

Hello everyone, I'm new to this discussion board but I have read some scary things about people getting banned from League of Legends and I was wondering if there is anyway to tell if I am at risk? I can't remember the last time I flamed in game but I have had a low priority queue due and a 5 minute lever buster type thing around a year ago due to PvP.net client disconnection. I don't say much in game that could be viewed as negative besides bad ironic jokes like "report thresh for no thunderlords" when everyone but thresh has it or when trying to offer advice for champs I'm more experienced with than others. I have not ever gotten a chat restriction or ban, so I may just be paranoid, but finding out my risk for being banned would be helpful.

Punishment is dealt in 4 steps;

  • 10 game chat restriction
  • 25 game chat restriction
  • 14 day account ban
  • Permanent account ban

Only in the most severe cases will Riot escalate a punishment straight to a ban, otherwise it goes in order. The next punishment will go down 1 step every 3 months without being punished as well.

So basically, if you just got a 25 game chat restriction you're close to a ban. Extremely toxic behavior such as hate speech and intentionally ruining games will get you there too.

When you start getting a higher than average number of reports you'll trigger a warning popup that tells you you've been reported for this or that. It doesn't necessarily mean you will be punished (the reports haven't been verified for accuracy yet, and mass reports can trigger it even though mass reporting doesn't get you punished faster), but it's a good idea to check your behavior if you get that.
