Why nerf Akalis most vital item? They will still use GB regardless!

basically what the title says, just makes it 1.5x harder for those that build hexdrinker, like are you guys actually trying to make akali obsolete?

No, gunblade was nerfed, and they gave her a 10% increase on R (which... still cant kill people in wheelchairs basically) to compensate. so in reality. she recieved nothing. like yes... she got a "Buff" but she got nerfed at the same time. hope that makes sense

10% increase to R is actually 30% increase to the total and an increase in burst of course.

gunblade was only nerfed for earlier levels too wasnt it?

its a nerf. taking into account with gunblade. try to understand the notes a little better bud.

As a powerful fringe item, Gunblade finds itself in a similar position to last season’s Frozen Mallet. While few champions are able to capitalize on its specific set of stats, those that can (Akali, Katarina, Corki) have uncovered Gunblade’s overbearing potential. When built as a first item, Gunblade’s active provides damage akin to a 5th spell for most users, easily overpowering the opposition with its instant nuke. We want Gunblade users to feel good about buying into an aggressive option, but the effectiveness of the item was just too much.
