Just Picked Up Nocturne, Advice/Tips?

Just picked him up, got a champ and skin shard and decided to get him.

I'm not a jungler. I have only a couple jungle champs.

So I'm wondering on general advice. I know there's a bunch of different paths and ways to do it, I just want to see what people thinks is the most important factor when playing nocturne jungle, whether its versus specific champ matchups, or macro strategies, or applying pressure in a clever way, or whatever people feel like saying.

Any kind of advice would be welcome.

(Git Gud, while funny, doesn't qualify as "advice" :p)

Power farm until 6 usually and then use your ult on cooldown. His pre-6 ganks aren't that strong unless the enemy top laner is at your turret. Try to ult lanes that have burned summoner spells and/or low mobility and your team should get a kill everytime. Build damage early game to help secure kills and transition into tanky items so you're not killed instantly late game when you dive in. Noc is really good at picking off split pushers rather than team fighting.

lvl 6. Mastery Noc here

For pathing i Go Red, scuttle, raptors, Wolves, blue, gromp, then back, krugs, and gank or repeat

your ultimate is everything, without it you have no reliable engage. Its range increases as you level it up, so play around that.

For items Duskblade Or BoTRK should be you main item, as well as you standered warrior blue smite.

You are really good at taking dragons, so that should be a priority.

Don't waste you W, as it is your only defensive tool.

Late game you should go for tanky items like DMP so that you don't get one shot. More than three non-jungle damage items is too much.

Remember, you are a DIVER not an assassin, You have no way of escaping a fight if it breaks out.

For runes go either Leathal tempo or Hail of blades and work from thier

A fun alternative is full lifesteal Aftershock Nocturne top, this is in no way meta, but it sure is fun.

Note that Nocturne is getting reworked in the foreseeable future, so don't get attached to anything but his ultimate
