Re-imagining Quinn and Valor

We've gotten a lot of incredibly unique champions lately with cohesive designs and interesting kits. Quinn is a champion with a lot of fans, but most agree her play-style is at odds with itself, and others might say it's not as interesting as it could be. Taking some inspiration from the daring designs of newer champions, I'm reworking Quinn and Valor to bring something new to the table while staying true to their character. This is all just for fun, but I want to hear some other opinions and thoughts on the design. I can't test any of these changes so I'm especially interested in what implication other people think this new Quinn will have on the game. http://pre10.deviantart.net/231c/th/pre/f/2013/320/f/1/quinn_and_valor_by_yy6242-d6uj1sy.png[/img]

Looking at Quinn and Valor, you see a falconer, a "behind enemy lines" scout whose most trusted companion is a Damacian eagle. For this rework I want to draw attention to a few concepts; the two separate entities that are Quinn and Valor, Quinn as a scout and Quinn and Valor's dependence on one another. As of right now, Quinn's identity as ranger w/ bird-sidekick feels more like a normal ranger w/ cameo made by Valor. What I mean is, Quinn's current kit can easily be recreated without valor while retaining the same functionality. This seems like a huge missed opportunity. Using Quinn's old abilities as a template, this is what I've come up with. Primarily, I've changed Quinn's W which now has a significant impact on how she and her opponents play on the Rift.

(New)W- Take Flight: Valor soars high in the sky and moves towards the target location anywhere on the map, with a speed equivalent to Quinn's. Valor leaves a shadow on the ground which can only be targeted by ranged auto attacks. Valor ignores terrain and grants vision around himself. W can be pressed again to fly to the cursor's location, if W is used on Quinn, valor will return to Quinn immediately once within 500 range and Take Flight will be put on cooldown. If Valor is hit by three ranged auto attacks he flies away, becoming unavailable to Quinn until after Take Flight's cooldown.

Passive- Harrier: Unchanged except for... Now Valor only marks targets when he is with Quinn. Now includes Quinn's old W's passive which ranks up at levels 2/6/10/14/18 Passive: Attacking a Vulnerable target will increase Quinn's Attack Speed by 20/25/30/35/40% and Movement Speed by 20/30/40/50/60 for 3 seconds. Passive as Valor: Gains 40/50/60/70/80% Attack Speed.

Q- Blinding Assault: Unchanged except for... *Can now only be used while Valor is with Quinn

E- Vault: Unchanged except for... *Will only mark the target if Valor is with Quinn

R-Tag team: Unchanged except for... If used while Valor is away, Valor becomes untargetable and moves toward Quinn at 300% movement speed before replacing Quinn on the battlefield. Cannot be used if Take Flight is on cool-down from valor being defeated.

With this change Quinn is given an amazing ability to create vision for the team and safely scout out the enemy. But with Valor away, Quinn takes a risk of not being unable to properly trade and use her entire kit. The general strategy here would be use W when you are safe to scout the nearby jungle for potential threats and call valor back whenever you think you might encounter an enemy. With this change I wanted choosing Quinn to mean something significant to the other team when shes played as an ADC. With these changes it means good vision, moments of vulnerability and a need to contain Valor or pressure Quinn.

So what do you think? Did I ruin Quinn? Does she sound like someone you would want to play? Did I make her OP? Are these changes trivial? Do you think this is a fantastic idea? Let me know what you think and what you think should be changed.

TL;DR : Valor flies around the map with w, granting unparalleled vision but Quinn needs valor near her to perform her best.

I logged in just to say I just now saw this through a google image search.

Personally, I've done a lot of detailed work on our dear friend Quinn, and even run a roleplay blog for her. I really like this idea. I main Quinn, and sometimes physically scouting out as Quinn is too dangerous, even though that's what she and Valor are supposed to do. This would ease that, and make her play style a little bit more complex.

Though! One thing I would say about this -- the AD ratios should be adjusted between the two Valor modes. In order for her to feasibly deal damage as she should while Valor is away, it should be upped, and dropped while Valor is there.

A question, too: how would Valor be controlled? Similarly to Tibbers or LB's passive? Because if so, he should have a limited range. It's a little OP for him to be able to go anywhere.

That is an interesting take. I still wish Riot would rework her ult.
