Lissandra Passive rework idea

A few weeks ago I have seen a rioter (don't remember the name) saying they was trying to rework Lissandra's passive to something like the Xerath's passive (you will benefit from your passive only going in a bad place ...in a not safe one).

her is an idea that i think is cool: you create ONE shard everytime you hit an enemy champ/minion with one of your spells (the shard will create right under the first minion/champ being hit). Going over the shard will collect it. Once you got 3 shards you gain X mana (scaling with level)

I think this would be really interesting because you will be able to spam your spells only if you go near your opponent (giving him a good moment to react).... shards creates under minions because she got W to root and E to run away (shouldn't be really an unsafe place if not there)

Note: obviously the mana regen should go up to the same level of the other champs.
