Dragon place

today I looked up to the dragon place a little more and .... why the hell there is water in a dragon place? why there is a fall in his place (in addition if there is a fall then the river shouldn't disappear in 10-20 min? the water goes away from river but don't go in ... and is not raining) but particularly why a dragon should come there? there is nothing a dragon should be interested to.

So what about rework this place? you need an idea? here is mine. I linked a picture to show you where to place things. http://i.imgur.com/mCHfC2r.jpg

in the blue area there should be a stairway placing the dragon in a little higher position than the river (water can't go into this place anymore) in the green area there should be harriers ... the first thing you should see in a dragon place should be fireeee and in the red area there should be gold, gold and again gold.... his entire place should be cover of gold.

but while looking at the dragon place I thought ... what about to place 5 treasures on left side and 5 to the right one? so that everytime you kill the dragon you open one treasure. this is really good for clarity and for the dragon buff logic.

buff logic: you kill the drake -> you go for the treasure -> you open it -> you find an ipotetical item that give you a bonus -> you run away clarity: well whenever you go in the dragon place you will instantly understand how many times you killed the dragon and how many times opponent team did it. (I know you can see it pressing tab or just only clicking on an enemy champ ... but well I still think this would be really nice)

so blue area stairway, green area harriers, red area treasures and everything else goooold

Note: another cool thing is to make the tree under the dragon burn

Edit: you mustn't pick the treasure it is only ideological .... once you killed the dragon the treasure automatically pick up such as it is now, there is just an automatic animation that open the treasure when you kill the drake

sounds like something to take away even more of my FPS from the unoptimized new map that still has costs me 60+ fps for no reason since its change. I like it.

Hmmm... I dunno about having to pick up the treasure everytime... (Sometimes those 2-3 seconds would make the difference of a fight, especially on like an LCS level) But I really like the treasure being on both sides of dragon showing how many times he's been slain. I also agree the Drake pit doesn't look particularly fitting for a stereotypical Shyvana .

Water DOES go in btw. If you look at the river entrances from mid lane, there are fountains emptying into the river.

I like this idea, as long as it doesn't become too flashy in order to interrupt gameplay.

I get the impression that the dragon doesn't live in that place, he's just guarding it. What he's guarding it from is just unseen.

The river wouldn't necessarily dry up because there was another waterfall. The main river likely has a waterfall somewhere downstream too, or at least slopes in the same direction (as it appears to do). When it's raining the dragon area would likely be submerged.

Riot could argue that the area under the dragon is very high in gold content due to the slower water velocity there.

This is actually TRUE Riot should attempt to make this game be a little more realistic!The other maps are okay but Summoner's Rift is the main map in the game so they should kinda try to fix this and then make the dragon pit a little more realistic.For baron they made it OK but i think they should add a little more chaos theme to the pit!Thumbs up to this guy for actually noticing this :)Graves

Yes because there is only type of dragon in the universe and they always have to be around fire.

Speaking from a more logical point of view, that is the perfect place for a dragon. It provides cover from all but one area, funneling his enemies into an opening he can easily cover with his attacks. It gives him a place to perch when has just flown in and survey the surrounding area. It has water which is necessary for all life.

Also have the fire at the entrance go away if he is dead. And give it a starting animation as he flies in.

There should be a small cavern underneath where he stands if the water was drained.

That'd be cool and add a bit of creativity.

its true.. why would the dragon be their for no reason?... I know what riot should do... put another dragon below that dragon getting humped and it can be a "dragon spawning area" haha
