Annie: How to use her E?

I love Annie but, her E (Molten Shield) is weak to me. Mostly the armor & magic resistance. I can barely tell if it helps at all other than building the stun, dealing damage to attackers and Tibbers recieving that speed boost. Even in the video preview I'm looking at it with a damn magnifying glass to see how much of a difference her hp is taking damage. I can see the numbers increase when I use it but, it appears as if I'm taking the same amount of damage. Seems as if the armor & magic resistance is just something extra there that... kind of... matters. Know she's suppose to be a squishy nuking nipple hair burning teddy beast dropping little bee-yotch of a mage but, I got to know if I'm missing something from building around her E like building item 3151 and item 3089 for her damage. Am I suppose to be using a item with this ability to give it more power? or Is this ability is more of a mid combo type? Just trying to learn her but, that resistance has me questioning "why is it there if the difference is so minimum at most?"

if you cast Q and E right after you can proc the stun if you already have 3 charges.

Something to help you take advantage of her E more.

That's about all I use it for when I play her; It's usually maxed last and I don't think the resistances provides much unless you're building HP to go with it (which you usually don't), and it's at a higher rank. You can also do stuff like hold on to 3 stacks of your passive and cast it right before your ability for a surprise stun, but overall, it's one of those abilities that, if Annie ever gets reworked, I expect to change.

it's a free negatron and chain vest. build health (ex: rylai's) and press E. you are now tanky.

If you don't notice it, then shrug. oh well. I most certainly do. I'll even max it second if the enemy team is mostly autoattackers.

also it's funny watching Ezreal Q me from a mile away and then get slowed. and even more amusing if I also have liandry's. You can get him to take as much damage back as he dishes out.

I mean its most obvious use it to build the stun. The mana cost for her E is by the far the lowest of any of her abilities so it can be the most efficient way to build spell stacks for her passive.

Um i use my E to either buildstun or during trades because any resistance is better then none and it deals damage when autoed. It midigates some damage in drawn out fights and it is funny how autoing tibbers hurts them more from it to. I also NEEVR buy item 3151. My most recent build that seems to work is item 3020 item 3027 item 3285 item 3157 item 3089 item 3135 . I currently have a 15Win -4Lose ratio on annie (78.9% win rate) in gold-plat elo and average 8.8 kills, 6.1 deaths, 10.6 assists. Shes starting to become my main but shes in my top 5 champions.

If you Jg Annie, E is your best friend and savior. She wouldn't be able to Jg without her Molten Shield. Try it, you'll out-farm the enemy meta Jg if you're good enough.

It's basically useless, and it's only usage is to charge up your stun. Don't highly depend on it in teamfights.
