What I would like to see Riot do in regards to Mordekaiser
I don't want a full
level rework (though it was awesome). I feel
is actually really close to being where he needs to be, and some minor changes could put him into a healthy and respectable place. With that said, what needs to happen for
to be in that place, Riot has to address:
- His lack of CC and mobility (which should be apparent as bad game design by now)
- His lack of agency (brought on by his massive weaknesses and the desire for Riot to push him into a duo bot lane role)
- The extreme snowball nature of his passive (which is difficult with his passive being so core to what we love about the champion)
- His base stats are abysmal in comparison to all other juggernauts (except for base AD)
A few examples of what could be done to address these problems are as follows:

Make his passive grant shielding upon landing an ability on enemies, as opposed to granting shielding based upon the damage dealt. Essentially hitting an enemy champion with an ability grants shielding based upon a percentage of his maximum shield value. These values can be easily used as levers for balancing by riot and addresses the core snowballing issue of the passive. In addition, I would like to see his passive only decay when out of combat.

Remove the XP passive and movement passive on the W. Have his W deal damage even if the two aoes are not touching, and have the damage stack on areas where both aoes are present. Keep the heal portion, as it is quite cool however.

player, I'm not playing him for some weird magnetism theme, I like the dark lord theme. -
Make his E steal movement speed. Every other juggernaut has some form of CC/reliable mobility.
has a slow and a pull,
has a silence and massive movespeed steroid,
has WITHER (it’s basically a 5 second snare for champions who do not have dashes, might as well be a stun on ADCs), etc. Having Morde’s E steal movement speed is pretty cool and kind of thematic, while giving him some meaningful impact when he is behind. It also synergizes with the rest of his kit, allowing the kit to function well when all components are properly used. -
Increase his Hp/Lvl up to 80. This puts his Hp at 1885, still less than other juggernauts, but helps him substantially when you consider he is amongst the squishiest champions in the game regarding health.

Increase his base armor to 24 and his Ar/Lvl to 4. Let’s be honest, his armor is quite low for a melee champion, especially as a juggernaut. 24 is still lower than all juggernauts at base values, while his scaling would be better to compensate.

Increase his base movement speed. He is sooooo slow. Other juggernauts get to benefit from movement speed options, CC AND higher movement speed.
I’d also like to see his base AD increase to 65, as it makes his base AD at level 18 a clean 150 instead of 146 (I like clean numbers).
