What is the point in having them shown ingame? Doesn't really convey anything outside of knowing my teammates still haven't set their masteries lol.

You can see the enemy's too. Knowing that someone has Thunderlord before you get chunked by it could save your life, or on the other hand, you might decide not to dive the squishy standing next to a Bond of Stone tank (whereas if they had Strength of the Ages, that doesn't help them save their friend, just makes them personally tougher).

So you get an idea of how your ally is going to be playing. It is very nice that they show everyone's keystones, but I wouldn't let someone on the blue team see the keystones of the champs on the red team.
