Can someone explain the Cassiopeia Fiasco to me?
I wasn't here during her changes and everyone is saying she's bad now and i wanna know why

They forced her to stack her passive, mostly. I'm not sure why Riot keeps releasing these "farm x to get y" things, stacking doesn't work that well for LoL.
Old players of her are whining that E is now her only viable build path even though that is how she was played before, however before, you got to double dip and put points into Q, then out DPS your Q anyway with your level 1 E because you Qed then hit them with 2 to 5 Es before the poison faded.

Basically, people who want her to be overpowered again are using the "they changed her playstyle" excuse instead of just saying "i want cass to be a hyperscaling lane bully again".
And getting nuked by a targeted spammable spell that has a poison amp, spell vamp, and mana refund is any more fun?
The entire issue came about because Cass flat out didn't need a rework. She just needed a few QoL changes and lower base damages/higher scaling but instead they made two out of her three non-ult abilities useless without the E which makes for an extremely binary play style.

Yeah from what I understood it was mostly because Cass's rework was so shitty and then worlds happened so next to no work, communication between riot and players or balance changes were done for a long time.
Also the lore change was unfavourable to her and with all the other changes going on at the time that "most" people disagreed with the cassieopia rework was a rallying flag for dissatisfaction and rage.
I won't lie I was one of this Cass players back then who couldn't stand the stupid weak stacks at the time.
Extremely small number of players play Cass Cass rework Extremely small number of cass players create enormous vocal minority. Cass rework released weak Extremely small number of (former) cass players use this as conformation that Cass rework failed. Cass buffed to be strong. Extremely small number of former cass players claims rework doesn't live up to theme.
Enter about a year of most people not really giving a fuck
The 3 former cass players that remain (out of hte original 35) still create enough complaints for 1,000 people.
Thats the abridged version.
