Holy shit. Azir is so much fun....but at the same time can be punishing to play if you screw up. I am very new to Azir, but not clueless to see why his win rate is low. I've played Azir in a few bot matches until I built up the courage to play him in normals. I want to apologize to my teammates who had to deal with my nobody skills lmao. I won each match, but it unfortunately required a lot of feeding . You guys got any cool tricks you can pass on to this idiot?

P.S. How in the hell do you attempt the 'Shurima Shuffle'?

Hey, I'm a pretty new Azir main myself, picked him up a month ago. But he's actually rly strong if you have the skill. In lane, go for a poke combo every time Tlords is active. For the shuffle, you basically place a solider, then E to it, then a moment before Azir touches that soldier you press q in another direction. It's basically a REALLY long range dash, and you use it to get behind the enemy team and walk them all into ur team. Btw, for builds I rush Morello, then bers boots, then rylais, then rabadons, void staff, then situational item. Once you have rylais, squishies are dead in about 5 auto attacks. Once you got Void staff, expect to kill in about 3-4 autos.

To do the shuffle (which you should not do unless you have like 50+ games on him or you feel comfortable doing it) is W + Q to the enemy, E towards them and then ult the way you came. There are other ways to do it, but that's the easiest way.

For tricks or and stuff, I actually don't use my soldiers to farm. I don't really wanna push the wave, because then I'll just waste mana with the E to get to safety if I'm ganked. Also because of his bad early game, if the enemy midlaner does a full lvl 6 combo you'll probably die so I wanna stay near my turret. Roaming with him is pretty nice, you can ult people away from their towers and then get your laners kills, or pick up a kill yourself. I tend to play really passive when going as Azir so I take barrier, but since he has good poke I think ignite would work on him, just poke them down and E toward them to get in range to ignite. Won't be as useful lategame though. Oh, and attacking with 2 soldiers from behind a wall or something is a really good way to go a bunch of damage safely.

Talk to BuffsOP in game, he has the most mastery points on Azir and is a super cool dude. He could teach you a few things about the pigeon-man.

I'm new as well but practicing you combos is key, when you split push make sure to set up your passive turret to avoid getting killed and letting you back safely, split pushing is super safe with Azir if you have your passive, one cool trick I like to do is when I'm losing lane pressure and I'm under turret while enemy is close to turret is, W, have the soldier Q dash to him, use E to dash as well and ult the enemy into your turret and using your second soldier to attack them while under turret, usually a free kill if you can get it right and it's so fun to do, hope this helps! (Also using that same trick in a teamfight allows your team to pick up 2-3 free kills and you can use zhonyas to stay safe)

Unfortunately i stopped playing Azir due to all the nerfs he has received. He also required a lot of skill and positioning and it all was just too much. Your constantly pressured in team fights to land that great ult. If you dont you might've gotten your teammates killed by pushing the wrong enemy champs to your team.
