REAL KINDRED BUFFS!? I CAN'T BELIEVE IT !! <3<3<3 - New Mark Evolution Suggestion
I can't believe it - Real Kindred Buffs!
I've played this champ since day one - Kindred doesn't even have a 4th skin yet and it's been over 2 since release!
Its been forever since there were actual buffs to this champion discluding the mini-rework.
This is a big deal since all the primary items for Kindred (Hurricane, Static Shiv, etc.) are way more expensive and the jungle has changed dramatically since this champion's release, and yes, the rework too.
I've also reviewed the notes from the champ's creator on suggestions for future gameplay changes and I agree with a few points.
Making marks much more accessible but less impactful *per mark* without altering what they do seems like a double-edged sword. It's pretty easy to deny this champion marks if your team focuses on blocking/removing the enemy jungler, so if this was implemented the overall champion needs to be more powerful.
This would allow Kindred to actually have two possible paths for evolving! One path in games where marks are easier to come by, and another for when they are more difficult.
Riot, please consider this!
It would significantly improve the "mind-game" effect that the marks system was partly intended to create!
If Kindred gains more marks, then keeping the current effects of Lamb's increased range, damage, etc. works. Marks reward Lamb and feed Wolf.
But if Kindred is starved of marks then the Eternal hunters could reflect this hunger (and be more Wolf) - maybe greater passive speed boosts/mobility as well as increased attack speed relative to what Kindred's current level is and what the average level of all players is, as if hungry Wolf is now the stronger of the two, but with ZERO bonuses to range or damage.
Or something different altogether. Having two different paths for marks vs no marks would be very interesting.
Increasing Wolf's range with W and presence in game would be great and have him feel more impactful, removing the Q timer reset, but decreasing the cooldown for Q each time Q hits a jungle monster, champion or turret. The zone inside which Wolf marks could also temporarily boost Kindred's movement speed while inside the area and has a 3-5 second decay once Kindred leaves - reflecting Wolf's "Chase Chase" energy. OR - Since Wolf is a tracker, Wolf can briefly detect anything hidden within range.
This might create a more unique type of gameplay where a ranged jungler either becomes more ranged, or becomes more mobile, a real "chase you down"/I need to kite-run away" and offer Kindred a little more utility with the ability for vision.
League has vastly changed, with every new champion becoming vastly more lethal than before.
Its okay to let the Eternal Hunters, the Grim Reapers of Summoner's Rift be Death once more - and less at the mercy of items or the status of the jungle.
