An idea to rid the game of trolls (or lessen)

Here is an idea that may or may not have been brought up.

After getting into a game lobby and having all champs selected, it occurred to me that the support Ivern on my team had summoner 11 summoner 4 . Being the ADC, Varus, I kindly asked Ivern to switch to summoner 3, he did not. When the game started he immediately went to counter jungle and continue jungling leaving me 1v2 bottom lane and taking jungle camps from our actual jungle. Now, we did win the game and Ivern did in fact play very well, however, 9/10 times this is not the case.

My idea is that depending on which role you are given in lobby, you should only be allowed to pick from certain summoner spells, meaning, an ADC should not have the opportunity to pick summoner 11, or any other summoner spell that is deemed pointless in that role. The same goes for support. summoner 14 is definitely viable on on a support but, summoner 11, really now.

The concern brought to mind now is well, how do we effectively trade champions now during champion select? Just like how you can trade champions, you will be able to trade roles as well so you are able pick your desired summoner spell.

Thoughts?

I don't like forcing someone to play how you want them to. Yes, when they steal your own teams camps it is refusing to communicate with the team. But counter jungling and being a roaming support is actually a really good idea and gives your team a big advantage

Not if it is the entire game. Bard tends to roam because of how he is played, fine. But it is when the player says nothing during champ select and in-game. Supports, even if they roam, are not going to use smite.

Why wouldnt Ivern take smite?? Super easy jungle camp steals to set their jungler behind hard while being able to share buffs. Jungle item + smite works on champs to reduce their damage output or slow. I'd much rather have a lesser version of exhaust on the support if it meant the enemy jungler is underfarmed and your side gets double the buffs.

You're missing the point.

In my case it was ok, we won the game. Almost every other time it is not going to work out like that. He is the only champ that can steal easily, aside from maybe Cho who just nom nom everything.

But the point of this post is to bring to light the fact that one lane was at a disadvantage the entire game and a way to fix that.

No, you're trying to dictate how others on the team play by wanting more restrictions in the lobby

This isn't really a restriction. Why would any ADC want their support to have smite? I certainly don't.

To comment again on your above post. Why would a support build a jungle item in the first place? Lets assume the support has smite and builds a jungle item, how would that be beneficial.

Here's how Ivern would jungle

  1. Walk to camp
  2. Click on camp
  3. Smite
  4. Walk back to lane

WOW he was gone SOOO LONG! That whole 15 seconds to get 250 exp and 100g while denying that from the enemy. Totally not worth right?

Why do you demand exhaust from your support? So you can go in on stupid trades and expect to win because they exhausted? Why not just kill the enemy instead, especially when you're snowballing and ahead, exhaust has very little impact when they just outright die when trying to trade.

Jungle item smite on champs is a hybrid between the exh & ignite, doing true damage and debuffing the enemy champ. It's not ideal on most supports because they cant use it in lane or jungle fast enough to make use of it but ivern can just leave lane to even just to take scuttle and be back seconds later.

Most people who play this game are aware of how the game is played. Why would anyone want 2 junglers. That is detrimental because that is one more champ taking farm from the jungle and it also leaves one lane unoccupied or bot lane down a champion.

Why would you go ore than 1 jungler? It will just make them both weaker

I played against a team of 3 junglers last season where they all brought smite and bought devourer. They were able to shred dragons and baron, bot lane was always ahead by 1 level, our jungler was behind from easy invades, and they were all sated with gold efficient builds by 25 minutes.

As long as you trade your role you will be able to pick from the desired pool of summoner spells. So if you are ADC and you decide to switch roles with the Jungler, all you have to do is click trade role and you can then pick smite. You will still have the availability of all champs regardless of what role you are given in champ select. I see what you are saying but the added "stress" of also picking summoner spells can possibly get overwhelming. Of course the jungler is going take smite but the second spell can differ from champ to champ and player to player

how would that do anything to stop trolls? they'll just use another excuse to troll you instead. Having two smites is not a bad idea, it's not optimal but it is useful whenever you are trying to contest things like dragon and baron. This is literally doing nothing specially since the only SS that would not be in any of the other roles would be smite since every other one can be effective in every single role and even then like i said smite on someone other than the jungler can also be useful. You are salty because you got a troll who would have trolled you regardless

So you get upset when the support goes to roam and gank for mid or place deep wards like good supports do? You get upset when your support has to go back to base? You get upset when you're left to solo farm to soak up more exp while the support goes to help a teamfight?

i would not be annoyed since i would just learn to play far back and use my abilities to CS while he comes back. I would simply do every that i can to CS and not die. That is all you have to do. You have a troll on the team that would have trolled regardless of whether or not they would have had smite they would just simply use another method to annoy you. All you have to do is play the best you can and then report them at the end of the game. Simple as that
