Anivia in Today's League of Legends

I'm plat 2 and my favourite champion is Anivia. I've loved her ever since season 2 when I started playing, but as each season has progressed, Anivia is getting less and less love. It's not that she herself is a "bad"champion per se, but rather the various meta, item, and mobility shifts in the game have basically rendered her useless. The season 5 regen changes do not help her get past or god-awful early game any more, and all of the hyper mobile meta mid laners and junglers just ruin my poor bird's day .

Everybody on the forums in under the misconception that Anivia's cc is stronger than raw mobility. WRONG. CC in general may be the way to shut down mobility, but Anivia's cc is so conditional that she gets wrecked by every single mobile champion in this game. She can't keep up or run away, she can't wave clear mana-efficiently, and her wall does next to nothing as nearly 75% of all meta mid laners can either leap straight through it or burst her from afar. Unlike all of the new champions introduced in the game, Anivia's kit is not overloaded. It is not filled with extra passives ( which her wall desperately needs) or insanely easy to use cc or mobility.

So there's my little rant on Anivia's place in the current state of the game. Feel free to comment below and state your opinions on Anivia and other unappreciated champions left behind amidst all of the stupid "progressive"changes riot has implemented trying to promote champion "diversity"(still waiting for nerfs)
