How to play Sivir properly?

As Sivir Sivir , the main purpose is to shove the wave to the enemy tower. However, the enemies often take this as an opportunity to gank/camp bot. And if I don't shove the wave as Sivir, I feel weak af. She just feel more risky to play as, unlike someone like Ashe or Jinx, has shorter range, while she needs to shove the wave to gain an upper hand.

So, how to play Sivir properly? Any advice on how to lane safely as her?

Phase rush, celerity, nimbus cloak, magical footware, whatever else

rush four zeals and a triforce

that's how you do it

Shove the wave in so you can have priority on dragon or so you can roam mid and gank. Don't just sit at the edge of the enemy tower waiting for the next wave, you can be off helping in other ways. Have your support deep ward their jg, be with him so if you encounter the Jg you can bully him off his camps or even kill him. If you see the ADC and Supp moving to help with the Jg then move out, and they have to miss farm to help their JG.

Shove them in again and repeat.

I mean a good dueling tool that you maybe dont know is that her W resets her aa.

If you first Cast Q->aa->W Sivir has one of the best bursts out of all adcs on lategame but is good to use it even at the start of the game.

Overall what you said is basically how you play Sivir, as an ADC main I noticed a lot the improve when I started to buy control wards myself.

Want to push with Sivir and be safe? You are gonna need more visión, focus every game on having a good Vision score because there's so many times that the only one that buys wards is the Supp and that's terrible.

She's a hypercarry. Her early game is fine, but she's mostly to counter hooks and be self-sufficient with her E while providing immense team value between having not just the spell shield but also a free (old) Righteous Glory/Shurelya's Reverie active.

The thing with Sivir is that her autos are theoretically infinite range and AoE.

Advice to laning better: Don't take W until level 4 unless you can get up to tower (W is a nice auto reset that gets a cheeky extra 45 or so damage down), and only use Q to clear minions AND poke, simultaneously, never just 1. (Don't waste mana on the poke if youre missing gold for it; don't depend on Q to waveclear if youre not getting poke down. Try to angle it so that it hits a champion)

Let the wave crash into you if your jungle isn't on your side of the map, and let the game go to 25 minutes

I like to play safe and scale because she has an amazing team fight either her q and w all being AOE and her ult movespeed is nice.

Think of her as a sort of Draven.

She's very strong early, boasting one of the strongest basic skills in the game (especially at lv1), an AA reset and a spell shield. A great early-pressure ADC.

She has a reputation for being farmy, but the reason you farm so heavily is to maintain an advantage you start with rather than to scale, much how Draven is dependent on kil-participation to maintain his sbowball.

She is very good against the likes of Ashe, or other ADCs with a strong one-or-two item spike like MF or Varus, because she has the means to come out ahead in most all occassions--barring jg and support's influence on the lane. Conversely, champions that boast a higher AA range than her--translating better into late-game--or simply being outscaled via damage make her a risky pick if you can't win early. So ADCs like Kog/Tris/Cait/Vayne are examples of who to be wary of.

I always felt it was pretty safe to push with her because her bubble always her to avoid CC in gank attempts.

The trick is to Get to the point where your q>w instant kills the entire wave, then do so before the minions even meet, then back off. Don’t sit and try and keep pushing a wave that’s already under the turret.

Also. Sivir is like orianna. If at any point you die to a gank ever (outside of maybe an Evelyn cause fuck stealth) it is 190% your fault.
