Cheap Store Items

I don't know if I am just inexperienced (probably), naïve (probably), or just suck (most likely), or any combination of the three, but I kind of question the reasonability behind the prices of the cheaper store items in Summoners' Rift. I would like to learn some things from more experienced, less naïve, and less sucky players out there (probably 99% of you).

Is there really any good time to buy Faerie Charm or Rejuvenation Bead - which I think so far are two of the most useless items sold in the store? By the time your As an adc and tank support main, I mainly go for either Doran's Blade or Relic Shield, which I believe is worth their price in gold. However, I find that maybe some other items have prices that are a bit too inflated, like Cloth Armour and Ruby Crystal. In general, I find cheap single-effect items a bit overpriced. What is your take?

The items you mentioned (rejuvenation Bead and Faerie Charm) are just minor parts to better items. You only ever purchase them if you are building into those items quickly, but you don't have the gold at that moment to complete the item, you have a small amount of spare gold, and you have an open item slot. You never buy them as starting items.
