People were greatly hoping for an Aatrox major VGU, They Hated how much of a generalist Maokai and were hyped Divers update especially for Pantheon, Why delay Divers Update?
Always greatful for giving us a Galio Rework, Nerfing Ivern, Updating Rek sai etc

Well every class update had its ups and downs, Why would they though?

I really hope this is the case and we get something different this preseason. I don't know about everyone else, but I was getting real sick of the class updates. The only one I enjoyed was the ADC update.
Yaskamasandwich1 votesPossibly because the Vanguard update was considered so bad that it could have possibly broke the straw on the camel's back? Assassin update wasn't considered good either I believe. The only class successful update was the mage's and even then that has been erased. It was so good because mages had a choice in items at the time. Now look at it, morello is a must buy instead of being a situational buy which it should be.

Mage update was terrible because Cloud drake was useless, Malzahar was dominating JUNGLE & MID in Challenger ELO, Malzahar was taking all the elemental drakes except for infernal at level TWO solo, Proto-belt was busted on Kennen because you could use the same time when you would use an ability, Syndra became much easier to play which made her cons lower, Vladimir became a balance nightmare, Viktor was dominating as well along with Cassia, They had no counter-play.
