Being "promoted" down.

So during Season 3 to Season 4 I did a 10 game reset and it "promoted" me down from II to III. This time, from season 4 to season 5 I won 6 out of 10 games and I went down 4 ranks.

Is this a glitch or did I miss how the reset works?
