Zyra is viable in both roles. Which one she is better in depends on the team composition.

I am sure you will find something wrong with this, but I am getting this overwhelming sense of morbid curiosity how this will end. Therefore, I feel that playing Zyra as a support can provide you with a pretty solid lane.

Definitely support.

I much prefer her (as well as Annie & Brand) as a support in bot lane, but then my favorite mid lane champs are supports like Lulu. I think I'm just confused.

I find shes better in zupport. When i play her mid shes easily ganked and if the enemy mid laner steps on your seeds like they should its a tough lane.
