Again, there are PLENTY of good MR items now
Mages, the "oh so obviously strongest class" are literally underperforming. The exceptions being Kat and Akali, due to their spammable, high skill combos, and the fact that they're freaking assassins
Literally every other mage can't keep up with the AD burst champs, in any way. And they also can't fight anything with more than 2500 hp anyway.
Keep telling me they're "the most op class" when literally the only thing they're good for is annoying the bot laner until 15-20 minutes when ONE ADC AUTO starts dealing more goddamn burst damage than a full fucking mage combo.

Enemy tank:
Enough hp and MR combined to live your burst damage and also gives their whole team 15% more magic damage against you.
Enemy bruiser/Juggernaut:
Literally heal through the equivalent of SEVEN of your fucking burst combos and just generally not give a shit.
Enemy assassin:
Enough to live your burst damage, kill you, and use the extra healing from everything they do to get back to full while also killing your whole fucking team
Enemy ADC: same as assassin - lives burst, shreds you, shreds entire team cause of all the healing.
Enemy enchanter: probably the ONLY ONE you can kill past 10 minutes consistently.
It's not MR or damage that's even the problem - it's the fucking effects of all the items that block MR. Having defensive items is nice. Having items that give you other random defensive benefits are nice.
Having ONE DEFENSIVE ITEM invalidate the majority of an ENTIRE CLASS'S RELEVANCE TO THE FUCKING GAME is not ok. ESPECIALLY when literally anything AD right now has taken over that class's role - want burst? Why pick a mage when you can pick an AD assassin that wont be completely fucking irrelevant to the game as long as everyone important buys ONE MR item? Why play a mage when said AD assassin can just buy a couple lethality items to inavlidate all counterplay against them while also dealing more damage on average than even KAT OR AKALI, consistently, in every feasible fucking scenario?
If mages are supposed to be a threatening, feast or famine class with high burst and little defensive options, AT LEAST LET THEIR FUCKING OFFENSE BE FUCKING RELEVANT and not completely shrugged off or healed from near-death to full in 3 motherfucking autos from one fucking Lifeline trigger on ANY AD champ. I can understand Tryn and Warwick, they're SUPPOSED to heal...but when a ZED heals 2/3 your initial burst off of lifeline, which already blocked 30% of your burst, you have NO FUCKING HOPE of bursting them in a clash. You have similar burst damage, but they legit just negate 30% of yours while healing about 40% of what you already did to them, and mages don't get that negation/healing in any capacity, even with Zhonyas/Gunblade combined.

, the MR galio bought would now only be blocking only 244.5975 magic damage. Just look at that for a second, Just wow! A singular item quite literally made 3 entire items completely useless. That's literally only 2,650g to ignore almost a 8,000g priced in just items. So in a sense, I'm taking twice the amount of damage that ultimately wouldn't if VoidStaff didn't exist. On top of that, A lot of AP users can easily grow their AP damage past 600, take
and they aren't even late game mages; They are artillery mages for pete sake! Anyone in that position gets screwed because at that point, everyone has high cool down percentages and missing a skillshot doesn't really matter as much if everyone on their team has some sort of heavy CC in their kit.
