Devourer

Can we all remember feral flare for a moment? Can we all remember how it changed the meta, and eventually got nerfed, nerfed, nerfed, and then removed? Now lets take a look at devourer. Feral flare is childs play compared to devourer. Not going to rant too hard, but this is way worse than feral flare. Devourer doesnt need to scale to be balanced.

There were three main issues with Feral Flare that are not shared by Devourer:

  1. Feral Flare provided on-hit healing which could not be reduced by resistances and which would scale with your stacks. Later in the game, many champions could easily heal 50-100HP per autoattack which made them hellishly hard to duel (especially if they had resistances).
  2. Feral Flare scaled infinitely, which provided incentive for many junglers to AFK farm for the majority of the game. Devourer is capped after 30 stacks and provides more stacks for taking objectives (Scuttle Crap, Dragon) than AFK farming your jungle.
  3. Feral Flare significantly improved the farming speed of autoattacks due to the high on-hit damage (75+3*Stacks) and allowed many champions to easily solo or duo Dragon and Baron early in the game without risk.

Devourer is significantly healthier for the game than Feral Flare was. Sated Devourer may be another matter, but it isn't currently overwhelming other jungle items from being chosen.

The current jungle pool is quite diverse, such as:

  • Devourer - Shyvana, Master Yi, Xin Zhao, Warwick, Fizz
  • Runeglaive - Evelynn, Elise, Diana
  • Cinderhulk - Gragas, Sejuani, Nautilus, Volibear, Amumu
  • Warrior - Rek'sai, Lee Sin, Vi, Rengar, Wukong

Can you leave feedback rather than just downvoting? can you come up with a solid counterpoint to my feral flare arguement? or are you just brown nosing a player saying something isnt balanced?

Point 1: WW Point 2: People will still afk farm the jungle for stacks for about 20 minutes (about 1/2 a typical match) Point 3: Sated Devourer.
