Why Honor doesn't feel as great anymore

DISCLAIMER Hi so first off I want to thank Riot for the amazing work they've been doing to revamp League of Legends lately.

We've had tremendous updates to shake up the game with missions, a brand new client, and coming soon the introduction of a new runes/mastery system.

My problem One of the few problems I've had however lately is how I really don't feel inspired to go the extra mile with this new honor system. Now please don't get me wrong I literally start off every game with "Gl Hf!" and really cheer on my team mates for doing great work.

But with this new honor system it feels like everyone is just as honorable as you? It feels like with the new honor system they shifted away from the reputation aspect of the system by looking at someone's profile and saying "wow that person has a lot of friendly honors" to a new aspect of in game rewards as in chest keys and the sort.

Now you might say "but honor level 5 is a way to show your reputation of honor to the public" but c'mon, everyone has level 5 by this point, it's quite simple to earn. You really don't have to even be positive or talk in the game, if you get enough games with high kill counts you'll get enough honor to hit level 5.

How we can fix it A really simple way I feel riot could bring back a bit of the importance of honors is re-adding the honor counter on your profile. Just take the old system of how many honors you've earned in GG, Shotcaller, and tiltproof on the front page of your profile to show off to your friends or any passerby.

Another thing I think should be worked on is adding more levels to the honor system, and making it very difficult to level up. I think an honorable reputation is something that should be worked on over a long period of time, where you are constantly positive every single game. It'd take a long time to achieve say level 9, but your hard work and dedication should pay off some day and you get to show off that exclusive rare loading icon really signifying your importance.

Nowadays about 2-3 of my team mates have level 5 flairs on screen as well and I really lost interest in this new honor system about a month ago.

TL;DR Riot is doing amazing work lately in terms of revamping up League overall.

But the new honor system could bring back some elements from the old, and make being honorable overall a more rewarding long mission you have to dedicate yourself to.
