Ruin this game for me.
"Just buy pink wards." Totally don't need that 6th slot for another item. Not like 75 gold consistently doesn't add up over the game. 10 pinks = 750 gold "Get lens sweeper." Now I have sacrifice map vision of the 4 other enemy champs, just so I have vision on one, that's cool.
Playing this game will sometimes require you to read your opponents. If there is a shaco or Eve in the game and your low health enemy seems to be teasing you into a fight then their is a good chance they are setting up a gank.
Proper placement of vision wards are mostly essential in the leaning phase of the game but after that it is not necessary to reserve your 6th item space for a pink ward.
Finally when any invis assassin is in the game teamwork and team fighting/positioning is essential.
Edit: I see wu in your summoner name and if you play him like me then you know about the W + E engage so it's not really fair to complain about some invis assassins when Wu fits into that category as well.
I thought sweeper no longer revealed invisible units?
Purchasing pink wards is still the best option and there isn't really a good reason not to buy them.
While they cost a small amount of gold, they can last for a significant amount of time undiscovered (I have had many survive from my first back to 30 minutes) and provide a measure of safety from ganks. If you die to a gank, you give the enemy significantly more gold than a pink ward would have cost and will lose even more due to missed minions.
By the time you have 6 items eve isn't going to be sneaking up on you for a gank
