Is it intentional that ADC item fantasy is "more value out of gold"?
I'm not sure If I biasedly cannot see this with other classes, but especially with upcoming changes it feels like whole point of ADC items is "this effect will make your spent 1k gold have the power of 2k gold".
They'll have doubled crit on IE so while with other changes in the patch fundamentally you will be losing some gold value (as you are bound to build 60% crit base not 50%), otherwise it's pay for 50%, get the power of 100%.
Then crit itself still works as double damage, so it's pay for 200 AD, get the power of 400 AD.
All they are missing is something that doubles their Bonus MS and Lifesteal.
I'm not sure If this will be problem in any way, or even If it will be more gold efficient, but one of things people keep complaining about is the gold efficiency of ADCs and while you raised some prices of main ADC items, I feel like this whole thing may negate it. Another problem is that many people wanted ADCs at least slightly nerfed, directly nerfed, not power-shifted, even If you powershift to right place, direct nerf, while changes like these, rising Zeal price slightly while giving ADCs doubled crit, make it seem like you desperately want them to keep their power just shift it into late game more.
I know Boards will now be spammed with emotional posts, but I really feel like you guys could do something better and more interactive than just competition of gold efficiency, so I wanted to post this.
To be more specific: Rapid Static Edge NOW: 8600g +65% AS +10% MS +80% Crit +70 AD Energized Splash + Range + 50% on-crit damage You have 80% chance for extra 105 + 150-350 front-load damage plus subsequent 105 damage out of these items alone.
Rapid Static Edge PBE: 9300g (+700g) +65% AS +10% MS +120% Crit (+100% Crit) +80 AD Energized Splash + Range + 20% crit converted to true damage You are guaranteed for extra 80 + 120-280 front-load damage plus subsequent 80 damage our of these items alone without the true damage. That is +20% Crit +10 AD but maximum 95 less front-load and 25 less sustained damage without the true damage. If 10% Crit out of Brawler Gloves costs 400g, then 20% Crit costs 800g. 10 AD costs 350g from Longsword. The 95 less front-load and 25 less sustained damage have to be equal in value to the true damage plus 450g of value in order for it to be powershift. It may end up being buff If it's less of a value.
and
... and one
i guess with recipe cost of 1000g
Which frees slots and alows you to build more Edges and rapid scimitars. ADCs would be overjoyed.
Builds AD, gets
Builds AP, gets
to multiply AP damage
Builds defence, gets
