Almost every time I've played I was only matched with people who were much better than me and I ended up with a KDa of about 2/25/3 or something like that and I'm almost always the worst on the team unless somebody is obviously feeding. trdl don't punish players just because their team wins.

If you find yourself dying more than 5 times per game, it's not related to matchmaking. You should review your playstyle, something is obviously not working.
The upcoming champion mastery feature rewards players for individual performance.
They will probably use this to improve LP gains/losses once it is working correctly.
