Can he honestly get a new passive. Not everyone can farm like challenjours and even then it seems very underwhelming and inconsistant. Its the equivalent of gp's q.. At least sometimes.

No hes a classic. Also, he requires a different style of play and he needs to reach items that other mages get faster sometimes. Its all tuned for his spikes.

Spikes? Most of the time tf is picked for utility, not to win lane. Why do u think 90% of the time people buy cdr boots with homeguards as first item.

Cuz that 800g at endgame helped so much.

Because his global pressure wins games, and Ionians help him achieve it more often. That has nothing to do with utility...

Farming is the most important thing in this game, and he has a passive that gives +4 gold per minion(on average). I think his passive is great.

Yeah but it feels way to weak early. Its nice to have some extra money for those wards but i feel like his early game could use a little buff since generally most of the time u really on ur base damage and maybe a couple dorans for all ur damage until ur 2nd item.

You don't need to "farm like challenjour", but if you have less than 200 CS by the 30 minute mark (http://matchhistory.na.leagueoflegends.com/en/#match-history/NA1/215309543) you simply won't have a good time as TF.

Something tells me that he would be played as a support if his Passive got replaced. which may not be something that Riot would want to support.

Then again, TF isn't even a farm champion regardless of his Passive. Your first Destiny gank is pretty much going to dictate how well the rest of the game will go.
