Whats going on with Azir???

Azir has the lowest winrate in the game. 42.4%. Thats lower than Ryze and Kled which statistically should have the lowest winrate due to how new they are. I know a few patches ago Azir got nerfed but that left him around 46%. His sudden drop has only come in the past few weeks and its deeply concerning since he was such a good champ. Last week he was even around 40% sometimes dropping below it. At first I thought it was just a bad case of the Bronzies. But even at Plat his win rate is 41.8%. I have no clue whats going on and if some rioter could either give some insight and what there gonna do with him that would be great. Its a real shame as well since hes about to get a new skin.

Azir is an extremely high skillcap champion who used to be strong in LCS. LCS is filled with some of the best League players in the world. Hence, he was doing really well there.

Because LCS is the pro scene level of play, that's where balancing occurs (since LCS is main profit). He gets balanced around LCS to make him weaker there, but because he's already so high skillcap and punishing to new players, the nerfs for LCS level players make him even worse than he already is for non-LCS level players. This continues on for over 2 years. LCS Azir was generally still doing fine (until recently where more nerfs are making him shit even in that level of play now). Meanwhile, non-LCS Azir has been literal gutter trash for over the last 2 years.

People cry and whine and bitch about Azir too much instead of just learning how to play against him. "hurdur highskill cap champ is op if experience" yeah yeah except almost no one whining against him will EVER get to play against someone that good in the first place, let alone someone who's dedicated enough to stick with a champion that shitty for over 2 years.

He's one of the more difficult champions in the game, and he's been nerfed numerous times to keep him from being dominant in competitive. It makes sense that his winrate outside of that is suffering. Kalista is in a similar situation.
