Questions About Duskblade of Draktharr

Hello! Bronze 2 player here, and I have some questions about the new item Duskblade of Draktharr. My question is whether or not nightfall will proc when using empowered basic attacks since they are abilities. This would mean abilities like 's Q or 's Triple Strike thingy that I don't know the name of. Thanks in advance!
