Dear lanes, from a jungle main

We need to talk about jungle camps.

No, I am not saying to never farm my jungle. Honestly, it doesn't matter unless I'm right there trying to farm the camp for xp and you steal it. If you're the same level, it's no big deal because we split the xp. If you're ahead in multiple levels, that's a little harsh but no matter this isn't what this post is about is about.

Jungle camps have smite buffs. Some people don't know this. Please remember what smite buffs do if you've forgotten.

Top laners, I leave you in the dust too much whenever dragon is at stake, due to the distance from your lane and the pit. I apologize immensely for this, and it makes me feel like crap. Whatever camp is by you, be it krugs or gromp, feel free to take it whenever you want. Just at least let me smite gromp late-game if there's a Vayne or a fed adc, but you can still have it.

Midlaners, be careful about chickens. That smite buff is my bread and butter to ganking your lane. A lot of your lane opponents never buy wards because damages, and use their trinket to ward one bush out of two. I can use sweeper lens, but it can give away my position and intentions while chicken buff gives me a heads up I'm approaching a ward, so I can leave and approach from the other river side.

Wolves are typically fair game mid-late unless we're being heavily invaded. I'll try to ward more, please ward more as well, but otherwise wolves aren't that big of a deal.

Red and blue buff... are whatever, I guess. If you need it, make sure to ping for it. That way I won't take it, and because I'll leash it for you since midlaners tend to be squishy and you shouldn't have to recall and waste part of that buff's duration. ADC's, if you're taking red, well you got lifesteal anyway. Plus a support, sometimes. If you need a leash, ask, but just take it whenever you feel like.

Dear jungler,

I'm tired of all the hate between us as junglers and laners

Let's go get some ice cream and yell at lux mains

Yours truly,

Diamond top laner

Dear HateDaddy,

I never hate my laners, but I do wish the chicken buff would be available. I could care less about the five other camps, to be honest.

But ice cream sounds delicious.

Just so long we leave the Star Guardians alone, that is an excellent skin.

Yours truly,

Silver scrub who can't top but can jungle and bot lane.

What Is Smite5 votes

Dear Fellow Jungle Main,

Mind if I join you fellows for a scoop or two of the ice cream? We could discuss why we dislike Lux mains all the while teasing them about the ideology of their champion having a brocon.

Mind if I invite my Waifu Fiora ? I'm sure she would enjoy a non-aggressive outing once in a while.

Yours truly,

The Guy Who Doesn't Know What Smite Is.

Dear Fellow Jungle Mains and that one diamond guy who isn't a jungler,

Can I get some Ice cream? I promise I won't take a lot, I'm just kinda hungry, it gets hot in this heavy armor Rammus.

Just please let me smite Gromp.

Yours Truly,

The guy who doesn't play ranked because his computer is too weak for teamfights and doesn't want to throw games because of that.

As a person who plays a lot of top lane I don't mind not getting ganks if my jungler is helping mid,and bot so that way we have better drag control. Besides most times I play tank champs so my job in teamfights is to disrupt as much as possible and peel for my carries so ganking my lane might get me a kill, bit that kill would scale better for mid or our adc. Glad to know that the jungeler hasn't completed forgotten about me lol.

Dear Junglers,

As a fellow jungle main I have experienced things laners do that annoy me, stealing my buffs without asking, farming my jungle before mid game starts, etc. I can relate, I have jungled for 3 years, want a tip? Not every game is the same and posting these bogus threads is meaningless upvote whoring. Every game is going to be different with different circumstances, everyone knows not to do this and that, the players who do, don't need to be told what to do, they already know, they just don't care.

These threads serve to do nothing but generalize the shit out of people and solve nothing, yet they keep appearing as if this is somehow news to people, "What?! Don't steal from the jungler?! ASK FOR THE BLUE??"

Seriously were beating a dead horse with this garbage, if you want them to stop taking a camp tell them not to and tell them you need it, stop acting like a sheltered moron by assuming they should just know this stuff.

IcyPepper4 votes

You'd be surprised by the number of people who forget how awesome chicken buff is.

Yet it seems to be the most farmed camp.

The fact that you had to insult the people who do care about threads like this, really makes your point a lot less believable.

First off, generalizations are usually made based off of actions or beliefs of a group of people. In this case, the League community. I've jungled for a while now, and I can say for certain that 87% of the people you play with on solo-queue will not ask for buffs, or ask for camps. They'll take it and walk away, and when you ask them why, they'll give you some bogus reason that doesn't really make sense.

Ex: "I'm AP Ezreal with tear, but I still need blue buff because I can't wait 5-15 seconds for my mana to regenerate to the point where if I actually take into account spell cost and how often I use certain spells, I can effectively manage mana where I will never fall below half mana but can still effectively harass my lane opponent to the point where if I land enough skills, they'll need to back before I do, and I can stack tear for longer."

Secondly, how many times have you asked someone to not take a camp, and they actually stop? You've jungled for 3 years, I'm sure it's not that many. Like you said, no one cares about the jungler, so even if you ask them nicely, find them in real life and propose your undying love to them, or even have a one night stand with them, they'll still take whatever camp they were doing without your permission.

No junglers we do not, because you sound like a broken record at this point. i am tired of seeing a "Dear Laners" post a million times from junglers telling us wtf we need to do when there are a ton of things Junglers need to do. Such as, not coming to my lane to do nothing but take farm, gank my laner while i am low mana, they or under their tower, and when i specifically tell them not to or to not miss smite to the enemies auto attacks. Before you whine about what laners do you need to look in the mirror and think about what you do to annoy laners.

not coming to my lane to do nothing but take farm

So For you would say to never take jungle camps, blue/redbuff or for that matter even play. There are many times I will walk into lanes and clear wards, poke, fail gank. and take a massive caster minion or two for my time wasted in your lane. There have been many times I will be clearing jungle and the mid lane blows them all up or the adc last hits them. All laners act like if I am top, top farm is mine. Then why is the jungle farm always the teams instead of I don't know the junglers?

Those cases are fine and that is not what i am talking about and you know it. its walking into lane while the laner is still there and is fine and taking farm then leaving. You want to talk about laners randomly taking jungle camps fine i can say "that is just plain stupid because laners know the jg gets more out of the camps" however i am sick and tired of junglers acting like their shit dont stink and making dear laner threads every hour on the hour while their jg buddies circle jerk it like we give a crap. I get, everyone gets it, laners do things to piss you off. The biggest problem with these threads is that noone is saying nothing new, its the same old complaints just force fed in people faces everyday because junglers are trying to make themselves know as the biggest crybabies on the planet.

IcyPepper13 votes

If a jungler comes into your lane to take farm, that's just stupid. We know this. Only bad junglers ever tax without doing anything.

And sometimes we gank when you're oom to get the enemy about to 100-0 your ass off your ass, although we tend to do that more in premades when we have communication. I mean, what if you get ganked while at low mana? If I notice a laner oom, and I don't need to zone off the enemy, I might be nice enough to drop a ward so you're aware if the enemy jungler is coming to gank you.

But, enough about that. I didn't whine about anything that laners do, I'm just giving them some helpful tips on helping their jungler to help themselves. It's not annoying. I literally just told top laners to take that one camp, midlaners that I would leash blue for them, save gromp late-game if there's a fed adc or a Vayne, and to be careful about taking chicken camps because that's the best buff for ganking mid. And wolves only matter if we need more vision.

The only one I see complaining is you, bonus points for stating things that has nothing to do with jungle camps or smite buffs.

Couple things wrong ill address them,

First, the enemy you somehow think can 100-0 me because i have low mana yet nearly full HP will almost assuredly (happens more times then i can count), 50-0% you.

Second, i know bad junglers only do that just like only bad laners would take farm from junglers, the difference is we don't run to the forums and q.q. about it every single day. At that point its counterproductive and at this point this is the last jungle thread i will read period. There will be 100 more by the end of the week.

Third, my post was not aimed to address smite buff or jungle camps, you missed the point intirely which is why i for one will suggest laner ignore jungle thread in the future they are broken records and no point in viewing them, they are literally filled with the same crap they have been filled with since the beginning of time.

good and bad junglers exist. You are talking about the bad ones. Clearly this guy cares... so please take your negative attitude somewhere else.

exactly my point, good and bad laners exist and you are talking about the bad ones. what exactly is the difference.

this post said nothing about bad laners. Just explained the proper etiquette laners and junglers should take.

Jungle Lux God2 votes

Dear laner,

Please do not use bad jungle players as a rule for what we jungle mains should be doing. Those players don't know what they should or should not be doing, and do what they think they should be doing.

Good junglers will not tax your lane for no good reason, nor will they gank a lane that can't be ganked.

Sincerely,

A jungle main

I'm going to go a bit further. Stop taking my camps period. I can farm the camp way faster than you can and I get more out of it. If I'm stealing their krugs, feel free to take mine, but if I'm on our side of the map, back the fuck up, especially if I'm already on my jungle route. I'm planning to take those raptors in 30 seconds, leave them alone.

Snakezzy1 votes

Whenever I am playing in a lane, I could care less if my jungler ganked for me or not. I personally NEVER farm my junglers camps unless it is past 25-30 minutes or my jungler is on the other side of the map. Trust me. I know. Whenever I am playing jungle my team just farms my camps when they have nothing to do and I am next to them. Normally, it will not annoy me. BUT when I am using devour and they do it, i get aggrovated fast. Do they not realize they have a lane and I get an extra 30 gold and 1 damage on hit? If they needed it to buy something, thats OK, but if they are just doing it for gold, then i get mad. My suggestion is when they take your camps, go push their lane ESPECIALLY if they aren't in/going to it.

Tomatosx1 votes

Eh, as a midlane main when the jungler ask me for blue (except a mana-less champion) I just ignore them and let them have it.
I never really take jg creeps unless a morde ulted me and I wanted emergency spell vamp or lifesteal which is rare. I have no clue that this thing happened to you :( sorry for mean ppl stealing ur jungle.

The only camp I truly care about is chickens.

That smite buff is basically sweeper lens except you don't have to guess where the ward is before using it.

idk why but i imagine you as diana jungle player for some damn reason

A few games ago, someone had the decency to ask me what camp they could take. I told them they could take wolves, but tell me first so I can smite it for the vision.

I learned the hard way today that when someone else smites and then you smite you don't get the buff. god damn smite mid laners

actually it was my friend playing diana. I don't think either of us knew this would happen. he came over and leashed my gromp by smiting it, and then i smote it and was like, oh, i didn't get the buff. Really made jungling kayle harder than it already is.

FortuneDoesWeed1 votes

I seriously don't mind not getting a gank top if that results in a fed bot or mid lane.

Dengeden1 votes

Dear laners, don't take wolves or raptors when I'm repeated pinging blue or red buff.

Yep, summed up all my points to laners as a jungler

LordGeovanni1 votes

I agree with this. though junglers need to stop taking farm from a lane where the laner is a level lower than their lane opponent they both back and by time the jungler leaves and bot laners come back the enemy has a large wave of your teams minions to soak up the exp and gold from. be more carful when farming the lane and if you do shove the wave in the tower before the enemy comes back so he loses the exp and gold. i play any position but marksmen (though i do well supports taking farm in low elo i cant compensate for it) i play top the most and consider it my second best lane (but the exp farming jungler screws me over occationaly) i consider support to be my best lane though i never call support i call bot lane tank (i can put out more wards item 3361 than item 2049 because i dont recall every 3 mins cause i buy sustain and utility) mid is some where and i consider jungle my worst lane because alot of negative people are negative on this game when they cant win lane they blame jungle for not ganking when jungle ganks they blame him for taking the kill. they cant even just hold the lane they want you to find your self from the krugs blue side to top lane in 10 seconds from they ping miss out on all the exp and then run you when the gank fails.

FastAsHeck1 votes

dear laners, if you see I'm on the other side of the map feel free to take these krugs or gromp, however please always keep in mind that every jungle camp gives me 30 extra gold so I would appreciate it if you would not take the camps that I am about to take :)
