A question about Jhin's snare Riot?

Why doesn't Jhin's grenade (Q) proc the passive for his snare?

I mean last patch Riot changed it so that even the slow from his trap would activate the snare and not just when it explodes. Jhin's snare can proc from all other incoming damage of Jhin's and his allies. Why not this source of damage as well?

I bring it up cause I think it might be a huge weakness in Jhin's Kit.

  1. Jhin's traps have a very long cooldown time and can only stack up to 2.

  2. Jhin's reload time is obviously a weakness that's meant to be a balancing point, but if your in the middle of a reload and have no traps he has absolutely no chance of escape. ( He would if his grenade could proc the snare )

Im just saying that for a champ that has limited mobility as it is then to leave him so wide open for such a big window is a huge disadvantage especially for a Marksman.

Would be too easy, and frankly overpowered. If Jhin wants to proc his snare, he needs good trap placement, to work with his allies, or to risk himself by going into basic attack range. If he's just casually able to set up his enemies for death with an ability that needs no set up or risk, it becomes an antifun experience. It's like Caitlyn's traps losing their arming time and snaring enemies immediately, goes against how the character's supposed to be.

Jhin's always been a set up reliant, carefully planning character, not someone who just shoots shit mindlessly. And letting Q cause marks would do just that.

The slow from his traps always marked. They just made it more consistent (i.e. at any time during the trigger, not just when it first activates).

Because it would technically be a point-click snare. I don't think that's fair (for an adc, at least).

I would really like to get a Rioter's feedback on this. Because I think the balance team should look into this at least.
