Righteous Glory on Melee Carries

So I've recently decided to start building Righteous Glory as a 2nd item on Tryndamere. I understand that the stats are largely wasted, but that movespeed active is absolutely amazing. People cannot run from you without flashing, and even then you will still catch up to them and be able to get the slow from Righteous Glory. I understand that the item doesn't technically give any combat stats other than health. However, its ability to allow you as the melee carry to stay on top of at least one opponent and be able to get off those sweet, sweet autos is just too strong to pass up.

What about champs like Yi, GP, and Jax who can actually take advantage of the catalyst portion for sustain? Any opinions?

While that is nice, wouldn't talisman of ascension work better? Has less of a cooldown, offers cdr/hp regen, offers free passive gold, and costs about 300g cheaper.

It's not nearly as fast though, and that slow is hard to beat.

Sirhcez was building it on Nasus. Don't know if it was optimal, but it seemed like a neat niche build. I think with the recent ghost buff, it is just a better option than building righteous glory.

I think that item should be pretty top tier on the dog after you get 40cdr: you get more sustain, can actually run flash since thats pretty much your ghost (so walls no longer fuck you), then the slow can actually stack with your wither. I really think Riot made a good change with Righteous no longer buffing your allies movespeed, because I think it's the super OP item Melee has been looking for a long time now.

Yeah, I run ghost on Nasus and if I build health I tend to build item 3053 or combo tank items with heath and resistance. It seems like a neat item, but I am not a huge fan of building items that only offer one component. I think RG fits a specific style with Nasus: Already have a lot of existing CDR (flat), I prefer ghost, and I am not great at dodging stuff.

Sirhcez is really good at dodging stuff as Nasus and actually builds only semi-tank. He makes the item look really good. He also runs scaling CDR which works better with RG (so he doesn't have to back to buy cdr items). I don't think he is currently building it anymore and will be rushing the new triforce probably.
