Why is the "Enemies Missing" ping a question mark?

Whenever I use it, its not a question. I use it to warn my team or signal that someones left lane. So why is it a question mark? I don't think anyone actually uses it as a question, and I would greatly prefer it to be more of a hazard symbol, something that fits its intended usage better.

its a WHERE IS THE ENEMY? question mark.

How hard is it to understand this?

Because I know where the enemy is. They are in the fog of war. And I am telling you, "Hey, be careful, there is an enemy in the fog of war." Or I'm trying to get across, "My laner has left, be careful."

Because you are not able to pin-point the exact location of the enemy in the fog of war it's a question mark. You know the enemy is missing, but can you say that they are still at base? Coming back to lane from base? Going to gank another lane? Doing Drake? Or Herald? ... That's why it's a questiong mark.

Usually is should be usued in tandem with the danger ping. You signal missing and then you signal the closest teammate that can potentially be affected by it.

Because it can be the most toxic ping what you can spam into the face of your jungler when you getting killed by your lane opponent. Kappa

It is a question mark because you don't know their exact position. We have a hazard ping, its what the danger ping is.
