Cassiopeia - I Miss You

I don't know, I had this big post written out about how the changes were in the wrong direction. Instead of enhancing her image as a DoT mage they killed it in exchange for a "tons-of-damage-super-late-game-hyper-carry". I guess the thing that kills me the most is that instead of just giving her a short visual update like they planned they decided to make her "unique" so that "she can fill a niche role" and to "differentiate" her from other "casters". What they don't understand is that Cassi was already unique, and she already filled a niche role in the team. However, their ideal niche didn't match the niche she actually filled, and so they killed her. I would say that this is melodramatic, but when you destroy a champion's ability to deal any sort of meaningful damage early, mid, and even late game by gateing them hard-core through a stack mechanic that doesn't even fit with her thematically? Rubish. A terrible rework. You are bad, Stashu, and you should feel bad. I should be on the team, not you.

sigh The frustration is real.

DISCLAIMER: This is not to comment about the rework and how it's been hated by the community, I'm hoping to get some insight into how people are approaching Cassiopeia

I hope you don't mind, I checked up your match history because I'm curious to see how different people are attempting to play this new Snake. I have to say, you've definitely mixed it up the most from game to game. You seem to run different, and rather interesting, rune pages in each game and your skill orders are pretty different most games. Your builds literally have no early or mid power in them, which is odd considering your comment about how she lacks any early/mid game. You're not trying to cover that weakness?

I have just one question. You've pointed out that Cassio's Early/Mid game are near nonexistant, so why are you rushing a Tear (arguably the most lategame item you can get) and then a Catalyst? You're saying "I have a weak early game, so I'll make sure I'm REALLY weak early." With that build, you literally only have the health from catalyst as a combat stat. So, why not rush just a RoA for sustain/midgame strength and then transition into your bigger items?
