Okay, I know leaving a game is bad and all, but sometimes life needs you

I was just put into the Leave Buster system where you are put into the lower queue. I'm not saying that I didn't leave or anything, but I was thinking maybe there should be something put into the exit game area that gives you a chance to explain why you have to leave the game? I mean yeah, it'd be hard on your team but at least Riot would know why you left.

As for why I left? My daughter broke her arm, and I had to take her to the ER with my Fiance. She's fine, learned her lesson about not messing around on the stairs, but my point is reasons like this should be taken into account on why someone left a game and if they deserve a queue ban or something like this. I don't mind doing the 5 games with lower queue, It's just a suggestion for other people who have to suddenly leave the game due to family or other sudden emergencies.

Once again, I do admit I left the game, the fault is my own. I just had to take care of my little girl.

And no, I wasn't playing league leaving her unsupervised. She was outside with my fiance playing, and decided to try jumping off the swings as high as she could. Bad idea.

-.-;

But yeah, sorry that I had to leave so suddenly.

...They do understand people leaving for personal reasons, hence why you dont get permabanned on your first afk/leaverbuster.

It is actually really hard to get permabanned for leaving.

Don't ask how do I know that.

Pretty sure we can figure it out ;) How many accounts do you have? lol.

Sorry, I totally pictured Clara from The Guild as I was reading this.

It sounds like you've left enough games that you got scolded? I don't think it takes many. Clearly an ER trip is something you can't avoid, but let's face it, most people aren't leaving due to ER trips. They leave because they are mad, have to eat, have to poop, have to go to work in ten minutes from the time the game started (and didn't think about that?), and related.

I've gotten Leaver Buster once, and it only took a little bit to get past it. I got it because of my random DCs, because those are the only times I've left a game, and I think it was like three in four months? I came back to every game I could, but one game, Windows decided to do a massive update when I had to reboot the computer, so I got back right as my team was finishing off the game.

Anyway, if you don't have many leaving issues, I am guessing you won't face many challenges from this system. So, it's highly unlikely to change, because many will abuse it.

To a point, yes I understand. The only other time I've left a game recently was a few days ago when the game was loading, I got the BugSplat thing going on. Each time I tried to enter the game, I got a bug splat report. I restarted the computer, which like you, had to do a windows update. After that, I had no other bug splat incidents.

And yes, I do see people will abuse it. I only have 5 games with this leave buster going on. Not too many, but the five minute wait seems a bit much plus the queue. But that's just my opinion.

At the same time, think about how many games you get per day (I'd say at least 1 for 5) in which you (a) wait 1 minute to start, (b) wait for most everyone to click ready, but still someone doesn't, so back to the queue you go, (c) do this three times, (d) finally get in a character select to (e) have that one guy not pick a champ or another guy just leave the queue moments before the game was to start just to (f) start back at B again.

Those cycles take ten or so minutes. The time will fly ;)

Well normally system doesn't put any punishment on you when you leave a single game, even if it's ranked - just for cases like that.

Are you sure that wasn't any more AFK on your side in recent days? Disconnects and than recconects, etc? 5 minutes internet failure? Lots of declined games? System counts those too, and will react quicker if they are ranked games.

Anyways, there is no need to explain yourself if you left the game for legitimate reason, that happens to everyone. Best wishes for your girl.

The Low-Priority Queue is for people who don't have control over when they have to leave. If they every once in a while, they can still play the game, albeit with a wait before they can enter the queue. If they leave a lot and ruin games just because they don't want to play it anymore, then guess what? They don't have to play the game at all.

I hope your daughter recovers painlessly! I broke my arm before, and it...it was NOT fun.
